At theGrio, Spike Lee blasted Trump for not condemning the Klan and Alt-Right:

Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman was well received at the Cannes Film Festival, and the prolific director did not hold back giving his take on how President Donald Trump has contributed to a hateful, divisive culture.

In the movie, about a black man (John David Washington) who infiltrates the Ku Klux Klan, Lee inserted a moving documentary montage at the end of the film about the conflict in Charlottesville, reports Vulture. The movie included a powerful ending messaging about Heather Heyer, the young woman [who] was killed when a white nationalist ran her over with a car during the protests.

“It’s an ugly, ugly, ugly blemish on the United States of America,” Lee said at the press conference for the film.

The story contains a link to a YouTube video of Spike Lee's comments at Cannes, as well as a transcript of that video.

    Do you know where's Cannes?

Yes, sure, your right to remain ignorant and your right to not care what opinion others have about US or about you.
Doesn't mean that others should or will do the same, or see TFA with the same disinterest as you.
Better still, under the same rights as you enjoy, you can't stop them to do as they please.

Glad to see this is out of any dispute.

      like I condemn my dog,

Do you know where Cannes is? Can you discern a difference between Cannes and your dog/shoe?
Those are just questions from my own curiosity now, no value judgement will be done to any answer you may or may not to provide.

In this case, I must conclude your OP should be interpreted as a statement of "I don't give a damn to TFA" opinion rather than the genuine question of "Why should I give a damn about?"

              On that alone? No.
On that added to plenty of others getting irritated? Maybe not a sudden turn around, but threading the waters more lightly would be advisable - on the long term, there's only that much amount of goodwill in this world.
And no, America itself is not powerful enough to make the things happen in this world without the collaboration of other nations. Much less able is a POTUS with who about half of his own population doesn't agree.

But, does that really matters? If the electorate perceives things are going better, then showbiz people will be ignored as representatives of the old order.
If I were Trump I would be far more interested in not looking like I am serving the old order myself, because there's where he can lose support very fast.

                  But, does that really matters?

Well, you see, when other getting irritated includes Merkel, Macron, Theresa May, Putin and Xi [aljazeera.com] and Shinzo Abe [reuters.com] and when their population happens to agree with them, I'm afraid Trump may want to start paying a bit more attention. 'Cause if the irritations turns to annoyance, Trump may start to have some troubles keeping the "bread" side afloat, even if the "circuses" will be aplenty.

No, in this world there's no nation that can be self-sufficient and still maintain an advanced enough level of civilization - the globalists took care of that for the latest 30-40 years or so.

Then you should be quite in favor of Trump's "circuses" as he has definitely been working hard to reverse the "globalism: regardless of national costs" trend of the last 30 - 40 years. There are quite a few supporters that think we've been way to eager to give away the store to get back too little in return.

Uh-huh. Lemme stop you there for a moment.

I know it's fun and popular to paint racism as an American problem exclusively, because everything in the world is Donald Trump's fault. But let me ask, in the country where Cannes is can muslim girls wear head scarves to school? No, they can't. It's illegal. Here in Brooklyn several little girls with head scarves attend my daughter's school.

How much fun is it to be a muslim in Hungary under Orban right now?

How much fun has it ever been to be an Aborigine in Australia? I've been in trendy bars in the Rocks in Sydney where the patrons openly disparaged "bloody blacks" who came in.

How much fun is to be Maori in New Zealand (despite the Treaty of Waitangi)?

Donald Trump is loud and mean, but let's not for a moment kid ourselves that he and America are the only ones with problems of prejudice.

I know it's fun and popular to paint racism as an American problem exclusively,

Mmmm... what? When did the thread above become something about racism?
Even more, when it was about Americans?

The way I read it, it's an exchange in which one was saying 'why should I care about TFA?' when he actually meant 'I don't give a damn' and me suggesting there are reasons one may care about; this until it became clear the question was a pure rhetoric one.

Donald Trump is loud and mean, but let's not for a moment kid ourselves that he and America are the only ones with problems of prejudice.

Ah, after mixing racism with religion, the things finally settled on 'it's about prejudice and you disparage Trump and America on prejudice grounds'.
Except I never done it in this thread. I only pointed that others are irritated by Trump and that's a reason enough to my mind to 'give a damn' about such details.
