At theGrio, Spike Lee blasted Trump for not condemning the Klan and Alt-Right:

Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman was well received at the Cannes Film Festival, and the prolific director did not hold back giving his take on how President Donald Trump has contributed to a hateful, divisive culture.

In the movie, about a black man (John David Washington) who infiltrates the Ku Klux Klan, Lee inserted a moving documentary montage at the end of the film about the conflict in Charlottesville, reports Vulture. The movie included a powerful ending messaging about Heather Heyer, the young woman [who] was killed when a white nationalist ran her over with a car during the protests.

“It’s an ugly, ugly, ugly blemish on the United States of America,” Lee said at the press conference for the film.

The story contains a link to a YouTube video of Spike Lee's comments at Cannes, as well as a transcript of that video.

I can tell you that it is a film festival in France, as important to world affairs as my dog and shoe is.

In this case, I must conclude your OP should be interpreted as a statement of "I don't give a damn to TFA" opinion rather than the genuine question of "Why should I give a damn about?"

Think of it this way, would Trump suddenly turn around a new leaf after being berated by a movie director at some film festival?

        On that alone? No.
On that added to plenty of others getting irritated? Maybe not a sudden turn around, but threading the waters more lightly would be advisable - on the long term, there's only that much amount of goodwill in this world.
And no, America itself is not powerful enough to make the things happen in this world without the collaboration of other nations. Much less able is a POTUS with who about half of his own population doesn't agree.

But, does that really matters? If the electorate perceives things are going better, then showbiz people will be ignored as representatives of the old order.
If I were Trump I would be far more interested in not looking like I am serving the old order myself, because there's where he can lose support very fast.

Well, you see, when other getting irritated includes Merkel, Macron, Theresa May, Putin and Xi [aljazeera.com] and Shinzo Abe [reuters.com] and when their population happens to agree with them, I'm afraid Trump may want to start paying a bit more attention. 'Cause if the irritations turns to annoyance, Trump may start to have some troubles keeping the "bread" side afloat, even if the "circuses" will be aplenty.

No, in this world there's no nation that can be self-sufficient and still maintain an advanced enough level of civilization - the globalists took care of that for the latest 30-40 years or so.

Then you should be quite in favor of Trump's "circuses" as he has definitely been working hard to reverse the "globalism: regardless of national costs" trend of the last 30 - 40 years. There are quite a few supporters that think we've been way to eager to give away the store to get back too little in return.

Why should I? I'm not usian.
Even if I'd be, why should I go ahead with a strategy that will cause me financial pain in 7-8 years time [abc.net.au]?
