Users of the NPMJavaScript package manager were greeted by a weird error yesterday evening, as their consoles and applications spewed a message of "ERR! 418 I'm a teapot" whenever they tried to update or install a new JavaScript/Node.js package.

Note that the 418 message is actually defined in an RFC: [ietf.org]

    2.3.2 418 I'm a teapot

Any attempt to brew coffee with a teapot should result in the error
code "418 I'm a teapot". The resulting entity body MAY be short and
       stout.

Note, however, the date of the RFC.

Also may be in orbit around the sun be between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, obvious reference to Russell's teapot, and dubious ontologies in computer systems.

I believe 420 is already defined as a "real" status code, that being "Enhance you calm". Generally used to tell callers to back off on their call load, or similar.

421 is real, [httpstatuses.com] 420 was (is?) used by the Twitter API when a client is rate limited.
