A feature called Significant Locations collects a detailed history of places you visit on a regular basis. The feature can be disabled via Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services > Significant Locations. The feature can be disabled, and history of data collected can be deleted. Apple claims that Significant Locations are encrypted and cannot be read by anyone except the phone owner. Yet, most iPhone users are unaware that their phone records their current location and calculates which locations are significant. Why hasn't Apple made people more aware of this potential violation of their privacy?

"No, how dare you! I can't believe you'd suggest such an evil thing!"
Two men could be heard arguing in the park. Each of them were furious enough to scare away most onlookers, and so no one had stopped their heated argument quite yet. What were they arguing about? One man suggested that he wanted to rape a few dozen children, and the other man insisted that none be raped. Thus, this argument ensued.
Just when the argument was about to escalate into violence, a third man - who had been observing the situation all along - approached them and calmly said, "Now, now. Settle down, gentleman. I believe I have the perfect compromise that will satisfy everyone involved." Then, the man elucidated his idea; after that, it did not take long for the plan to be put into motion...
Later, a man could be seen hanging from a tree; he had been lynched, and his body was in a truly wretched state, as though he had been tortured beforehand. Who was it? It was the man who had been opposed to the idea of raping children. The man's crime? Feminism. Surrounding the tree were countless naked children, and not a single one of them even moved so much as an inch. Standing nearby and overlooking this magnificent scene were two men; one of those men had been in the heated argument, and the other man had been the one to offer the compromise. Both of those men were naked and appeared to be in a state of silent ecstasy. This was all thanks to the compromise.
And what a fair, wonderful compromise it had been.
