From Raw Story

The National Park Service has approved an application for a year anniversary commemoration of Charlottesville's violent white supremacist rally to be held in Washington, DC.

DC's WUSA9 reported that NPS approved the application but has not yet issued permits for the rally set to be held at Lafayette Square, a seven-acre park just north of the White House. The event is to be organized by Jason Kessler, the organizer of the "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville where 32-year-old Heather Heyer was hit and killed by an alleged white supremacist.

"This year we have a new purpose," Kessler said, discussing the upcoming rally. "That's to talk about the civil rights abuse that happened in Charlottesville, Virginia last year."

Kessler claimed it wasn't his fault that "that stuff happened," and said that in the months since the rally ostensibly intended to "defend" a statue of Confederate general Robert E. Lee, "white civil rights" have taken a hit.

"We're not able to peacefully assemble. We're not able to speak," he told WUSA. "I keep telling people if your right to rally and your right to protest means that someone else's life might be in danger, then it is no longer free speech but it is hate speech."

A lot of us "American Whites" were not here during slavery, nor part of the Confederacy. Lots of us were born here by grand parents that emigrated from Europe. Don't lump people that came over from France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, or Poland in the early 1900's with the scum of the Lost Cause. Our grand parents were not part of slavery. They were trying to eek out a life in a new country, with almost no resources.

    Found another wetback Mexican. :^)

Just kidding. I guess I have ties to both the "old white" and the "new white" Americans. No slavery in my family tree, but the maternal side of the family came here in the early waves of immigrants. That's where my little bit of Native American heritage comes from - a couple of her ancestors married natives.

On the other side of the family, the French great-grandfather was outraged that some Pollock had the nerve to ask for his daughter's hand in marriage. That, despite the fact that he was a recent immigrant, himself.

And, yes, there was definitely culture shock aplenty in my grandparent's generation. The truly "white" people were some nasty SOB's.

Irrelevant. Neither virtue nor vice are hereditary. Unless, do all you white folks and black folks want to fuck back off across the Atlantic by chance? I'd prefer otherwise but if you feel the need... I think buffalo tastes like shit and am quite spoiled to sleeping in a house in the air conditioning rather than in the sweltering heat in a tent.

Not genetically hereditary, and actually addiction is pretty hereditary it turns out. Raised by an abusive asshole? Chances are too high that you will be abusive as well. Not a guarantee, but statistically significant.

Anyway, you're just being a jackass as usual with points so dumb they could retard a dodo and that fucking bird is extinct!

Correlation != causation. Abused children are more likely to become abusers themselves, but there is no identified genetic component to child abuse, and lots of evidence that that is what happens when the "nurture" part goes wrong. Addiction likewise has not had any identified genetic component. Being exposed to addictive behaviors at a young age and having that conduct "normalized" has far greater evidence in it's favor. I wouldn't doubt that there is some level of genetic susceptability to developing those behaviors, but it's probably a nearly universal one if so. The brain and body are highly complex and show remarkable ability to affect changes in response to stimuli. GIGO. The ability to learn is a double-edged sword. Certain forms of mental illness show good evidence for being hereditary though.
