China culls 38,000 pigs as swine fever spreads.
More than 38,000 pigs have been culled across China, state media said Sunday, as the world's largest pork producer scrambles to contain an outbreak of African swine fever.
The disease has been discovered in five Chinese provinces, the official Xinhua news service reported, quoting statistics from the country's ministry of agriculture.
China reported its first case of the disease in August in northeast Liaoning province.
Since then the disease has moved south, with cases discovered as far as 1,000 kilometres (600 miles) away, raising concerns it could infect pig farms across the country.

Recall several years ago there was a widespread outbreak of Swine Flu among humans.
The gummint of Egypt got the idea in their heads that human swine flu was being spread by pigs, so they ordered all the pigs in Egypt slaughtered.
Up until their untimely demise, the pigs kept by the Egyptian Copts - one of the oldest Christian sects, and arguably the sect that the Lineage Of Peter should be found in - were eating all the trash that was dumped out on Cairo for them.

I think he's got more than just one cause to blame for all of the symptoms he has. There's no vaccine that can cure what ails him.
