According to a new survey of over 1,000 people across the country, 58 percent say they sleep in the nude.
Not surprisingly, men are more likely to sleep naked than women – though more than half of women still report sleeping without any clothes. Only 39 percent of Boomers sleep in the buff, compared with nearly 65 percent of Millennials, the survey found.
Relationships seem to relax people's sleeping habits, with 72 percent of nude sleepers report being in a relationship, compared to only only half of single people. More than half of people who sleep nude report that their partner does, too.
[...] Nearly 70 percent of respondents who sleep naked said they do so because they're more comfortable without clothes. About 58 percent said nude sleeping was relaxing, and 54 percent said it improves their sleep. (Roughly 15 percent said they sleep naked to keep their genitals "free and happy.")

If people were meant to be naked, we would have been born that way.
Seriously, some people have all kinds of weird hangups about dangly bits. Just about everybody in the world has nipples (half of them are non-functional, but they exist). Everybody has a butt. About half of everybody has a penis and scrotum and testes. About half of everybody has mammaries and a vulva. Get over it, it's not that exciting or interesting really.
The US in particular could do with more casual nudity. Much more than Europe, Canada, or most of the rest of the world, the US is obsessed with keeping certain body parts hidden from view. The main effect of this is turning nude body parts into commodities available for sale at your favorite strip club or art gallery or porn site. And it also makes it possible to sell products with almost-nudity, e.g. people watching football games in order to look at the cheerleaders. Spend about 12 hours in an environment where nudity is totally normal, and that will stop working.
The only thing that stops a bad guy with a compiler is a good guy with a compiler.
