GNU Kind Communication Guidelines

Lest you think this is yet another CoC, the guidelines assure you that they are not a CoC.

Announcing the GNU Kind Communication Guidelines

The GNU Kind Communication Guidelines, initial version, have been published in https://gnu.org/philosophy/kind-communication.html. On behalf of the GNU Project, I ask all GNU contributors to make their best efforts to follow these guidelines in GNU Project discuaaions[sic].

[ . . . ] The difference between kind communication guidelines and a code of conduct is a matter of the basic overall approach.

A code of conduct states rules, with punishments for anyone that violates them.

[...] The idea of the GNU Kind Communication Guidelines is to start guiding people towards kinder communication at a point well before one would even think of saying, "You are breaking the rules." The way we do this, rather than ordering people to be kind or else, is try to help people learn to make their communication more kind.

[ . . . . ] I disagree with making "diversity" a goal. If the developers in a specific free software project do not include demographic D, I don't think that the lack of them as a problem that requires action

The best way to avoid conflict and encourage diversity is to force everyone to voluntarily think alike.

Women are in complete control of whether they reproduce.

It's their body. Do you think you have a right to decide what happens to someone else's body? Where do we draw the line, at your body?

Women get to vote without being subject to the draft.

You can't blame women for this. Men made those rules, and men have tried to keep women out of the military for a long time. Can't have it both ways.

The majority of tax monies are paid by men, while the majority of welfare benefits are received by women.

Not all taxes go for "welfare benefits". The majority of welfare benefits government handouts are received by corporations and billionaires. Of the benefits that trickle down the needy, children are the largest recipients. If their dads had stuck around (for example, after interceding in your first point), well, read the next one.

The family courts have been shown to be biased towards rewarding women and punishing men.

Women are not rewarded in family court for the bad behavior of men. The men are just treated appropriately for their actions (accountability suck, doesn't it?). And if men acted like real men, rather than how they act in order to end up in family court, then you couldn't complain about your third point.

Sure, if a woman wants to abort or have the baby, that's entirely her business. The man should be able to abort his financial responsibilities.

Also, I see you skipped over the genital mutilation to which so many men are subjected; you can throw a party after stripping a boy of half his shaft tissue, much of which is specialized for protection AND pleasure, but if you so much as prick a girl's labia with a pin in order to draw a ritual drop of blood, then you've committed GENITAL MUTILATION according to local, national, and international law.
