Diablo is getting a 'full-fledged' mobile RPG
Blizzard is bringing Diablo to mobile devices, the company announced today during BlizzCon 2018. The game's creators promised a "full-fledged action RPG" called Diablo Immortal. Diablo Immortal picks up after Diablo II: Lord of Destruction and will launch for iOS and Android.
The mobile RPG is a massively multiplayer online action game; players will be able to drop in and out of groups and play through "dynamic events" as they travel through Sanctuary. Classes include monk, wizard, crusader, demon hunter, necromancer, and barbarian. Blizzard is currently allowing players to pre-register for a chance to join the game's upcoming beta.

Yes, it does. Thankfully we have bred a generation of masochists more than happy to take all kinds of pain for their pleasure, so it all balances out in the world :-)

I see their younger generations playing with their phones, I'm sure they could pull Diablo on a phone -- why someone would want to might be another question. I can't even play D3 on a computer anymore without getting pains in my fingers (aka the Claw) after an hour or so. That said I do wonder if D3-type game is really the ideal for a mobile game, are you going to be swiping the screen to move and then tapping to strike or something? I could see some type of J-RPG ala the old Final Fantasy games and such working better but a "real-time" action clicker seem painful. It might be interesting to see what they come up with in that regard.
