In a law implemented last year, Georgia's 'Exact Match' requirement flags voters who have discrepancies in their official identifying documents and may be non-citizens.

As originally written, at the actual polling location, only Deputy Registrars could immediately clear individuals to vote (provisional ballots could still be cast). This was deemed burdensome in U.S. District Court and now Poll Managers can also clear individuals to vote who show proof of citizenship.

The announcement of this change is here: http://sos.ga.gov/index.php/general/judge_includes_poll_managers_in_georgias_existing_non-citizen_verification_process_

Voters were notified in advance of discrepancies and multiple avenues to resolve the issue are available, including:

- in advance by faxing or emailing documents to the county registrar
- when balloting, providing documentation to a Deputy Registrar (or Poll Manager now)
- If the above are an issue, an individual can cast a provisional ballot and provide the proof of citizenship (in person, via fax, email, or text message) before Friday.

Yea, I almost deviated and voted rnc as well. I just couldnt shake the thought the dnc was throwing the election on purpose though. The behavior was just too disgusting and incompetent to be believed, at least for me.

Yes, the behavior of the DNC really has been so bad in the eyes of non-rabid people that it makes them consider voting for republicans.

Whatever, I warned about it for the last two years and was called all sorts of names on this site for it. Its like nothing was learned from what happened with Trump so I expect the same result. Republicans keep Senate, Democrats take House.

I really think its republicans both. None of the people who are now considering voting republican due to disgust with the DNC are going to answer polls accurately, if at all.

            I still roll with 538:

            https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/final-election-update-democrats-arent-certain-to-take-the-house-but-theyre-pretty-clear-favorites/ [fivethirtyeight.com]

Article helpfully defends their 2016 forecast.

Winning the House is almost certainly less important than winning the Senate, so it's probably not going to be a good night for Democrats regardless. You can almost hear the cells of Notorious RBG deteriorating.

I'll return to this thread on Tuesday/Wednesday, but we will probably have one story tomorrow night for election stuff, and another story a day later to look at the results for the ballot initiatives/measures/questions/state constitutional amendments. Those usually take longer to get settled.

Nah, the Dems will take both houses, abolish ICE, restore ACA, impeach Mike Pence for being such a putz, and arrest Shawn Handily for Crimes against Nature. I am very optimistic.

It isn't only the people who would vote Dem, now voting R. There are also a lot of people who _just_won't_vote_. There is little to point to that indicates any R's are disenchanted with their party. They will continue to vote, just as they always have.

I was thinking that people who wouldnt vote or would vote 3rd party are being tempted to vote republican. At least that describes my own mindset.

            Third party voter here.

I would *never* vote for a Republican. Party of the Great Satan, smell of sulfur when one of them passes, and all that. Seriously, these are some of the evilest people to ever walk the earth.

But, I have only voted for a couple Democrats, and with nearly zero expectations was still disappointed.

As mentioned above I still didnt do it.

But the fixing a primary against sanders, trying to collude with to set up trump but instead getting trolled by russia, taking advantage of abused women by having lawyers mess with their memories, literal shrieking at the kavanaugh and strozk hearings, etc really makes me want anyone willing to associate with the DNC have as little to do with me as possible.

The SouthPark episode, "The Battle of Heaven and Hell": Satan needs to find someone to keep Kenny alive (as a vegetable, think Jeb Bush, well not Jeb Bush exactly, but the Terry Schaivo case), so he will not go to Heaven and use the Golden PSP to defeat the hordes of perdition, but he asks, who would do such a thing? Satan's councillor responds: "We'll do what we always do, we'll use the Republicans!" Ah, Republicans! Satan's tools!
