from the alcoholic-mouthwash dept.

An elderly friend died last year and among other things I inherited a couple of bottles of Creme de Menthe. For anyone unfamiliar, it's bright green and very minty -- 60 proof / 30% alcohol by volume. I'm not a regular drinker, and I am one of those weirdos that believes in waste-not, want-not, so I felt obligated to find a way to (slowly) consume it. My eventual choice was to pour a shot or two over a bowl of chocolate ice cream -- not bad, compare to mint chocolate-chip ice cream, with a little kick.

Any other suggestions?

I think the biggest issue here is that webtender lists Creme de Menthe under 'White Creme de Menthe' and 'Green Creme de Menthe'

if you don't care about the resulting color (White)

Crème de Menthe is a very sweet mint flavored liqueur. It come in two versions, green and white (clear). There is no noticeable flavor difference between the two.
When a recipe calls for creme de menthe, the white variant is usually the correct to use.

    And green:

That's a total of 77 and 61 drinks respectively .. with most drinks being 30ml per, that should net you about 22 drinks per bottle (assuming common 750ml bottles) ..
So pick out the ~44 drinks that look reasonable or otherwise match with you liquor cabinet.
