Nine people charged with selling Samsung's curved display tech

Prosecutors in South Korea have indicted nine people and two companies for allegedly selling Samsung's curved-edge OLED display tech (which it uses in its flagship Galaxy phones) to a company in China. The CEO of Samsung supplier Toptec Co Ltd was among three people arrested over the scheme. Prosecutors say he and eight employees received about $13.8 million for the intellectual property.

The group allegedly formed a shell company that received documents related to display panels from Samsung subsidiary Samsung Display, and sold them and "3D lamination" technology to the unidentified Chinese company. Toptec sells automated equipment to make display panels for phones and the company has denied any wrongdoing, according to Reuters.

Hey dumbass, while the Chinese do steal a lot of IP don't pretend for a second that other countries don't do the same. Your mild bit of racism aside, the Chinese were buyers here, the theft was done by Koreans. It may take a while for you to wrap your head around this, but "Asia" is not a country.

When you're doing it 100x more than anyone else, the "everybody does it" defense rings very hollow.

Nice racism accusation there too, but it is a sad, obvious attempt to score cheap points that further exposes your unscrupulousness. I find it pretty astonishing that you consider the party paying millions of dollars to facilitate espionage to be blameless. I almost feel as if your next point will argue them as an aggrieved party, those poor people!

Normally the company execs are tripping all over themselves to hand over their crown jewels, for a vague promise of access to "a billion customers!!11!".
Instead, they lose all markets except for 1st world "western" countries once their Chinese "partner" opens up a new factory down the street.

Don't want accusations of racism then say something more like "Humans with access to valuable tech sometimes sell it to competitors, news at 11"

It isn't an attempt at cheap points, there is nothing to win here and if I cared about SN points I'd log in. How we phrase things and which points we make belie our subconscious thinking.

Like making racist jokes. Crack one and it doesn't make you a racist, but you are sure in the ballpark and better excuse yourself quickly. I have met too many racists who go to a lot of trouble pretending they are not racist, but eventually the truth comes out. Hope you're not one of those, regardless your phrasing was bad and invited criticism.

The rest of your points are just lame cuck whistles.
