The hits just keep coming for the various Defenders series. Per Deadline Hollywood, Netflix announced this evening that it has canceled Daredevil, just weeks after the show concluded its critically acclaimed third season. This news shouldn't be too surprising, but this one is a particularly tough blow for fans.
Clearly Netflix is cleaning house, since this follows surprise cancellations in October of Iron Fist and Luke Cage. That just leaves Jessica Jones and The Punisher on Netflex's[sic] roster of Defenders. Both have new seasons in the pipeline that are currently slated to air on Netflix as planned, according to Deadline's sources. But they will, in all likelihood, be on the chopping block eventually as well.
Marvel/Disney may be planning to revive the Defender series on its upcoming streaming service.

I tried watching the shows, but they sucked so bad it was painful to get through a single episode let alone season after season of that garbage.

You guys are so used to your strait white male dominated universe in tv and movies that when you watch something with a mix of race, gender and sexual orientation more closely matching the reality of the real world, you genuinely feel that said strait while males are grossly underrepresented, even intentionnaly suppressed.

Some people do not perceive the reality of the big city world.
Others notice that fashionable social topics are being pushed forward, partly because old topics have been done to death, and interpret it as an agenda, when it's more accurately trying to add depth without rehashing the same plot points (historically white-centric), and catering to the urban public most people (and show makers) belong to.

If Spiderman means less to you because his skin tone changed or Thor stopped being interesting to you because the character had boobs for a bit, then I hate to break it to you but you are racist and sexist.
We're all human beings, and if you can't identify with someone saving people from a fire or stopping a mass murderer because the hero doesn't have a white dick... you have a problem.
Luke Cage and Black Panther need to have black skin because the character's identity is tied into dark-skinned heritage. And Superman, Batman, Spiderman, and Iron Man have to be men because it's right in the character name. But otherwise, it doesn't matter. I don't give a damn if Hulk is Latino, Flash is Arabic, Hellboy is Filipino, or Colossus is gay.

It's not the stated goals of SJWs that bother me, it's the trolls behind the wheel. I went to Evergreen State College years ago. I noticed there was a small group of unreasonable, angry, counter-productive, authoritarian quasi activists on campus. Constantly protesting and preaching right on campus... to?
Well nobody, because being the most liberal college in the country. We already believed in all the things these guys pretended to care about, just we were less rabid and concerned mostly with studying instead of sit-in, walk-outs, shout downs and whatever else they spent the majority of their time organizing to get in the way of serious students.
A few graduating classes later the small ultra-liberal campus is rioting because "homework is racist" (really). I knew it was coming and I shared my weariness of SJW politics with other liberal friends in the meantime. Usually other liberals had a hard time understanding how I could be so against people who appeared to be on "my side" up until the actual rioting started. My college is now dead, hardly anyone goes there. Thankfully I'm far enough out of college that it's ok to drop the name of my college off my resume to save space but the name is toxic. Good work, maybe the most accessible four year college in the country is ruined, one of the few places that someone with no money and bad scores could get their foot in the door, put in the work, walk away with a degree and change their life.
I know these people well enough to know that it was their plan to use outrage as advertising. It was their plan to antagonize people with character changes to drum up interest, they assumed most of the outrage on the internet was real but actually nobody cares, nobody is interest the anger is mostly russian trolls, old people, and other budding career activists all of who don't actually consume much of this sort of media.
I tell you what, remember when they killed superman and there was a black superman? How upset were people... about him being black? Literally fucking nobody. The only gripes were that they killed superman, replaced him with like 6 people and we all knew he would be back in a year or two somehow.
What about black panther? Super successful. Woman thor? Not so much. I'll let you think about the differences.

There is plenty of race-mixing going on and of course I would burn the coal given the opportunity. But isn't it funny how, when it happens on TV and in movies and magazines, it's always a Black man with a White woman? It is the only combo they can use that is both socially acceptable and commercially viable.
Think about how much SJWs would go off if you had a 'strong white man' dominating a black woman. You wouldn't be able to hear the soundtrack over the wailing and gnashing of teeth.
On the other hand, if you have a 'strong black woman' dominating a white man, he looks weak as piss, audiences don't like it, and the show fails. You might be able to do this as a comedy if he gets all the funny lines, but not as drama.
It is possible that you could try and have two equal characters, but that is very difficult to do well. Unless they are identical, in any given situation one or the other will have a more relevant skill set and be dominant. It also requires two actors who are willing to be equal stars, otherwise the 'top biller' will end up with more and better lines.
If you cough while drinking cheap red wine it really cleans out your sinuses.

Agreed. All those shows were awful, and I could not get through a single season. In fact I have been wanting to cancel Netflix for over a year now as anything good that I enjoy cannot be foudn there any more, but the wife still watches the garbage on their so I lose for now.
