President Trump has endorsed a bipartisan deal that would end the 35-day partial government shutdown. The three-week stopgap funding measure would reopen shuttered agencies while negotiations continue.

Can't congress solve anything? Their idea of a solution is to punt the can down the road. Immigration, DACA, Dreamers, budget deficit, money in politics, whatever.

I know if I worked like Congress did my boss would have me out on my ass in a few months.

Gee, my house has termites. Guess I'll just quit going into the attic, problem solved. 5 years later, guess I'll just quit looking at the siding, problem solved. 5 years later, who needs those 2x4's holding up the roof anyway? X years later, house collapses, Congress is all "damn, never saw that coming".

Bunch of fucking 2 year olds, on both sides and in the oval office. It's disgusting.

    Nice.

And if you did your accounting like Congress does, you'd be in jail, the moment the auditors look at the books and go "Dubya tee eff!"

And with all the money you collected in taxes all those years and saved from not doing any of that maintenance, I guess you build a new one and make yourself look like someone making the house great again.

Here's the thing: If Congress "kicks the can down the road" for long enough, their terms are up. And frankly, given what government has done when it's had the power to act in recent years, doing nothing seems like an improvement.
