Earlier this month, a long kept list of Ph.D. scientists who “dissent from Darwinism” reached a milestone — it crossed the threshold of 1,000 signers.
“There are 1,043 scientists on the ‘A Scientific Dissent from Darwinism’ list. It passed the 1,000 mark this month,” said Sarah Chaffee, a program officer for the Discovery Institute, which maintains the list.
“A Scientific Dissent From Darwinism” is a simple, 32-word statement that reads: “We are skeptical of claims for the ability of random mutation and natural selection to account for the complexity of life. Careful examination of the evidence for Darwinian theory should be encouraged.”

No, our response should be, "Shut up and go away." They're just doing yet another Denial of Service attack on enlightened people, wasting time, undoing centuries of progress and eroding good will and harmony.
They are wreckers.

Stupid Creationists!
My question of late is "If you are so rich, why aren't you smart?" These "institutes" always seem to be funded by some billionaire who thinks his money makes him smarter than the rest of us, and entitled to a larger voice, AKA "Citizens United".

That is a terrible analogy, signing a statement that you are skeptical about "darwinism" doesn't prevent real science from happening, the time they waste is their own, they absolutely haven't invalidated anything, and I would argue the ones eroding good will and harmony are the ones who respond "shut up and go away".
Let's make this a game, if you say "show me the science" you get one of two results
If they can disprove evolution, the world benefits from their results. Literally everybody wins.
or
If they can't, then you can point to their absolute lack of data, compared to your own voluminous, properly reviewed, and consistent data, and let that data speak for itself. You win.
Conversely if you tell them "Shut up and go away", you make their belief that you are preventing them from doing science factual, you have justified their beliefs of persecution. Whether they are right or not, you are only benefiting them.
As long as their argument is couched as science, the only correct response is "show me the science". Another response may be appropriate if the argument is made from a different position.
Make no mistake, if you push the idea the science contains any unquestionable truths, you are pushing a religion.

You misunderstand my point. In this particular case (Darwinian evolution) they are deliberately ignoring 150 years of hard science. There is no value in their challenges. There is nothing we can explain to them that isn't already common knowledge. They could have educated themselves with minimal effort. In civilised countries we even give them a free education.
So upon whose shoulders is it?

Do I?
My position is "show me the science", not "show them our science". If they doubt evolution, they are more than welcome to come up with better ideas, if they can.
