The founder of Huawei has said there is "no way the US can crush" the company, in an exclusive interview with the BBC.

Ren Zhengfei described the arrest of his daughter Meng Wanzhou, the company's chief financial officer, as politically motivated.

The US is pursuing criminal charges against Huawei and Ms Meng, including money laundering, bank fraud and stealing trade secrets.

Huawei denies any wrongdoing.

Consider that in I think 2009 or maybe '08, a Chinese sub crept within Torpedo Range of a US Carrier Group member, ascended to periscope depth, snapped a photo of not just that one within-range ship but several others not far out-of-range, descended then snuck back to China.

As a _profound_ achievement in Force Projection, China proceeded to blast that photo all over G-d's Creation.

Oddly, I am unable to find that photo anywhere now.

There is no proof those photos are even real and china has a grand total of 9 nuclear attack submarines. All of them primitive by modern standards. Their killer torpedo the yu-6 is similar to a mk-48 from 20 years ago. Note the modern mk48 is... well modern.
Furthermore China is not stupid and though it appears they would like to become a global military leader their advancements are practical and not a collection of suicide tier doomsday devices like Iran and Russia. Because they'd actually rather not engage with the US.
To give you an idea what the iranian navy looks like it's full of small boats and electric submarines, for US engagements they'll be armed with the incredibly unstable hoot torpedos, very similar to the high test peroxide shekvals that sunk the kursk.
