Considering that the premise of Altered Carbon is about people who can change into different bodies called "sleeves," it makes sense that some of the characters from season 1 will have new faces.
Anthony Mackie -- best known for his role as Sam Wilson/Falcon in Captain America: Civil War and the Avengers movies -- will play the lead character, mercenary Takeshi Kovacs. Actor Joel Kinnaman originally played the character in season 1.
Simone Missick -- who played Detective Misty Knight in the Netflix Marvel shows The Defenders, Luke Cage and Iron Fist -- joins as the character Trepp.
Dina Shihabi, who played Neda Kazemi in Daredevil, is a new character named Dig 301.
Will the erstwhile Marvel actors augment the show, or drag it down?

To me it was mostly the antagonists that decided if a season was good or not:
JJ: Killgrave was good, season two... eh... there was something with her mom and a doctor... the most fun episode was the one with ... killgrave in it.
LC: IMHO second season was slightly better than the first one, both seasons keep up.
IF: First season was doable... next season... Davos this, Davos that... I don't care. Should have picked another, antagonist.
DD: Long fighting scene takes were fun, good cast, but they should shelved Fisk for a season or two. Bullseye was a good antagonist though.
Defenders: Enjoyable, maybe because there were not too many episodes that needed to be filled.
The Punisher: The story draaaaaags (both seasons).... fighting scenes with Pilgrim were good... Russo's is Frank's Davos.
But... too bad they cancelled most of the series.
