Medical Xpress:

Australians report having sex once or twice a week, on average. For Brits, it's less than once a week, while Americans report having sex two to three times a week.

We can't know for sure how often individuals actually have sex. Some people may incorrectly report their sexual frequency, either by mistake or on purpose. But the national estimates data are based on representative samples, so they're a useful guide.
...
In fact, Australians and Americans are having less sex than they used to in past decades.

Aussies had sex about 20 times fewer in 2013 than a decade before. Americans had sex nine times fewer, on average, in 2014 than a decade before.

Increased competition for our free time from smartphones, expanded entertainment options, and other sources is cited as causes for the drop in frequency.

Something far removed from your own experience can look like a joke or troll. I myself struggle to accept that some people are serious about wanting socialism or being SJWs, since that stuff is completely alien to me.

Given that I'm anon, I suppose it isn't terribly insane to post finances. OK, so I'm a specialized software developer living in a cheap part of the USA. I get about $165,000 counting my typical bonus. I got the house for about $310,000 a decade ago, back when I was paid about $90,000. It's paid off now. Due to the kids, my taxes are frequently negative. My employer fully pays for health insurance with an out-of-pocket maximum of about $11,000, which I usually hit. Food is a huge cost. I might possibly be spending $50,000 per year on it, based on shopping trips I take. (my wife saves more money in the supermarket, but then wastes a bit on fast food, so that might come out even) We travel about 140 miles per week for kid activities and school, 12 for groceries, and 16 for church. Rounding a bit, that is 200 miles using 18 gallons of fuel at a total cost of $35. That might be $2000 to $3000 per year including car wear. There are no student loans; that got paid off a couple years after graduation. I don't buy a lot of unneeded stuff, and I don't go places, and I don't usually pay for entertainment. I'm not OK with waste, even if I can afford it. In the last decade my only trips have been a flight across the country with 4 kids to explore wilderness, and a drive to see the solar eclipse. Both were a couple weeks. I buy modest cars new, cash purchase, and I drive them until they die. The kids all get hand-me-down stuff, and I don't buy them much. They don't get separate bedrooms. We don't ever pay other people to watch our kids.
