According to a new article in Phys.org https://phys.org/news/2019-02-repulsive-photons.html
Scientist have found a way to make photons repel each other

Long story short they convert the photons which normally do not interact into polaritons: https://www.nature.com/subjects/polaritons "Polaritons are hybrid particles made up of a photon strongly coupled to an electric dipole" and this allows the photons to repel since they have charge.

Looks like my light saber really can be made. Now I just need to find a source for Kyber Crystals https://www.starwars.com/databank/lightsaber-crystal

I've already found photon sources that are quite repulsive.

Those glaring bluish tinged HID headlights I have to deal with every night driving home from work.

I have the opposite finding : The absence of photon source reduces the repulsion.

Those HID headlights have kept me from getting pulled over for two months now.

I had a low beam go out on my 95 Vette. It's been so cold and I don't have a garage so I haven't replaced the original sealed beam halogens.
I've been running on high beams alone for two months and nobody has noticed or even flashed me.

I remember the same complaints when Halogens replaced the original sealed beams.

I haven't run into the new LED ones yet, at least not knowingly, any experience in comparison to the HID lights?

they have great light output, and the beams tends to be very even (even with multiple leds) but the lack of heat actually poses a problem in winter, as it doesn't keep the lens clear of ice. a friend has them on his jeep, and can't drive during snow because of it. so i'd put them on my motorcycle, but not my truck.

Thank you. I live in the PNW, so we get snow every winter, good information!
