CNet:

Review site Rotten Tomatoes is instituting some changes, leading many to believe it's responding to the recent controversy over the site's Captain Marvel page. But Paul Yanover, president of Fandango, which owns the site, told CNET that's not the whole story.

In case you were snapped away by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, and thus missed the recent controversy, here's a recap. Captain Marvel doesn't come out until March 8, but users were already leaving negative comments about the film on Rotten Tomatoes, a process dubbed "review bombing." Many recent comments seemed to come from those who are angry at star Brie Larson.

The movie review site has removed users' ability to leave reviews or to indicate they are not interested in seeing a film [EDIT: before it comes out].

"White Privilege" is when a white person acts the same way, in response to anti-white bigotry, that non-white people act in response to non-white bigotry.

A "misogynist" is anyone who fails to bow down and worship the Holy Magical Vagina and allow the possessor of the HMV all things at all times.

The words are the frenzied uttering of a two-year old in a tantrum that other people refuse to be the two-year old's slaves and playthings.

[Audiences] are not allowed enough chances to read public discourse on these films by the people that the films were made for. I do not need a 40-year-old white dude to tell me what didn’t work for him about [A] Wrinkle in Time. It wasn’t made for him. I want to know what it meant to women of color, to biracial women, to teen women of color, to teens that are biracial.

Show me the bigotry. I'll agree that if you replaced the identifier with "40-year-old minority woman" and the speaker a white man then there would undoubtedly be a minor twitter shitstorm. However, with no actual bigotry being displayed people like YOU would rail against the PC POLICE while nothing whatsoever came of the whole thing.

Height of hubris, nice job making my point so very clear.

Were there signs above the entry doors for the Wrinkle in Time movie that said "this movie is not for white men"? Were white men barred from buying tickets to see it? Or is it like McDonalds' "365Black" ad campaign, where the message is "get the fuck out whitey" without actually coming out and saying it?

Even if something is "not made for white people", I can comment on anything I choose to, and it matters not at all what the fuck your damned feelings about that are. With Gab's recent Dissent commenting system, you can't even shut us up on the sites you control anymore.

There may have been. It only grossed $132 million on a $250 million production and advertising budget.

You have just revealed your own bigotry by excluding everyone who identifies as non-binary or who has reached adulthood. Your hate speech is not welcome here!

Women are a lot of good things, but being funny and being Thor are not two of them. There's a saying, "garbage-in, garbage-out" that applies fully to Female Thor and Ghostbusters. If the idea is fundamentally stupid or inane then it will be difficult to take seriously, and then you will just be smiling and nodding like a cowardly yes-man because your date dragged you into it and enjoyed it and you're just trying to get in her pants. " HAHA. HA. HA, " you laughed, whenever the fat Black woman was obnoxiously sassy and then the New York City Hammond Organ riff would play in the background to drive the point home that you should be laughing. " Woo-woo, " you flaccidly cheer, when the strong woman punches the dumb White man for looking at her the wrong way.

The only way the former would have succeeded is to make it a superhero parody film (could be easily accomplished) and the only the latter would have succeeded is to find funnier women and writers (difficult but doable).
