Google Finds It's Underpaying Many Men as It Addresses Wage Equity
When Google conducted a study recently to determine whether the company was underpaying women and members of minority groups, it found, to the surprise of just about everyone, that men were paid less money than women for doing similar work.
The study, which disproportionately led to pay raises for thousands of men, is done every year, but the latest findings arrived as Google and other companies in Silicon Valley face increasing pressure to deal with gender issues in the workplace, from sexual harassment to wage discrimination.
Gender inequality is a radioactive topic at Google. The Labor Department is investigating whether the company systematically underpays women. It has been sued by former employees who claim they were paid less than men with the same qualifications. And last fall, thousands of Google employees protested the way the company handles sexual harassment claims against top executives.
Critics said the results of the pay study could give a false impression. Company officials acknowledged that it did not address whether women were hired at a lower pay grade than men with similar qualifications.
In response to the study, pay raises were given out to 10,677 employees, with men accounting for 69% of Google's employees but an undisclosed higher percentage of the raises.

Well, Google, you fucked up. One way or another you fucked up. Which way did you fuck up?
Did you fuck up by manufacturing the misogynerd narrative? Did you fuck up by saying that anybody can program without an understanding of very basic middle-school level algebra? Did you fuck up by convincing the wombyns that they can't program like somebody who's been doing this for 20 years after just 1 fucking hour of code?
Did you fuck up by trivializing this career like that to women who might have otherwise been interested? There were plenty of other women in my calc class. Plenty of other women who could handle relational algebra for their computery MBA degree (MIS or whatever).
Now you pull this shit, Google. Why don't you just die on your own sword?
Everybody knows what the next move is. You'll be promoting bullshit all election cycle long about how regular menstruation--but not estrogen or being a woman!--improves programming skill, proving that you've been engaging in discrimination, because reasons. So, what about Harris? Why don't we put her in the white house, we've got AOC and Tlaib, and even a wise Latina on the court. Want to show those misogynerds what-for?
Expropriate Alphabet.
Dissolve Alphabet and Google, and put their net worth into a trust to fund single payer healthcare and other progressive programs. Then why don't we stop bombing the shit out of people on the other side of the planet, and how about we stop fucking with the legitimate democratic governments of black and brown people in our own backyard? After all, as AOC surely knows, printing debt, according to the bankers is not a credible way of funding basic services like healthcare, but it is a credible way to fund the subjugation of two entire continents and then some!

That might accidentally cause girls all over the place to learn programming because now that they have a secure life and home and three square meals per day and money to spare to buy a personal laptop.
