Here in the U.S., the presidential election season, like Christmas, seems to start earlier and earlier each time.
In keeping with this, the Democratic National Committee is making waves by announcing that it will exclude Fox News, which has the largest viewership of the major cable news networks by a considerable margin, from debate coverage of DNC presidential candidates.
Thomas Lifson outlines a number of reasons this may not be a good move.
One is that from a historical and strategy perspective:
Presidential debates inevitably favor the challengers. Trump can push them in that direction by agreeing to debates only if Fox News is included. That forces them to either accept FNC or have no debates at all. If they accept, that makes FNC the debate worth watching. The rest are discredited as Democrat "safe spaces,"
And it appears he has pounced and done exactly that from his twitter account:
Democrats just blocked @FoxNews from holding a debate. Good, then I think I’ll do the same thing with the Fake News Networks and the Radical Left Democrats in the General Election debates!
Really all either party has to do is A) not be crazy and/or B) keep their idiot mouths shut to win.
Neither of these seems to be in the cards dealt to either side, so it should be a heck of a ride.

With the economy as it is, 2020 is doom for democrats. Democrats who have a serious shot at winning are not going to want to blow their chances in 2020. An exception is candidates who will be seen as too old in 2024. That likely means Biden, because the alternative is a complete shitshow of insane antisemitic communists. The 2020 election is going to look almost as lopsided as the 1984 election, when Reagan crushed Mondale.
Starting in 2024, the democrats have a chance. I don't think they'll get 2024. First of all, most of the country (not California or DC, LOL) will be wanting more Trump, so they will be inclined toward the person he endorses. That will most likely be one of Pence, Cruz, or DeSantis. Second of all, it will hard for the democratic party insiders to stop their insane antisemitic communists from getting the nomination.
At some point, cooler heads will prevail, and somebody like Joe Manchin will get the democratic nomination. That's a win, probably stopping Trump's successor from being reelected in 2028.

Bernie is the only nationalist socialist (a.k.a. nazi) that we have. He's a Jew, though he could be self-hating.
The dem-controlled house couldn't even manage to pass a resolution against antisemitism, which was of course prompted by the antisemitic democrat from Minnesota who comes from Somalia and married her brother. If she gets voted out, I wonder if her last act in congress might be to get all explody. Basically, she's a jihadi... but back to Nazis. Hitler had a bit of a fetish for Islam, even printing up Korans with swastikas on them. He admired the fierce resolve of muslims and wished that Germany were muslim.

Actually, the "socialist" in the nazi name was just there for marketing purposes. They were competing for the same pool of members as the Communists. And they liked the capitalists (who were under the illusion that they could control the nazis).
I'm not sure that Bernie qualifies as a "nationalist". That usually is the domain of those who think that their country can do no wrong.

So, awful? The stock market isn't a great indicator of how the average person is doing. It's much more telling that half the country makes $30,000 a year or less, that so many of the jobs we gain are low-wage jobs, and that wealth inequality is at an all-time high. That's a great economy... for the super-rich.

That is mostly due to shifting from a manufacturing economy to a service economy.
