Here in the U.S., the presidential election season, like Christmas, seems to start earlier and earlier each time.

In keeping with this, the Democratic National Committee is making waves by announcing that it will exclude Fox News, which has the largest viewership of the major cable news networks by a considerable margin, from debate coverage of DNC presidential candidates.

Thomas Lifson outlines a number of reasons this may not be a good move.

One is that from a historical and strategy perspective:

Presidential debates inevitably favor the challengers. Trump can push them in that direction by agreeing to debates only if Fox News is included. That forces them to either accept FNC or have no debates at all. If they accept, that makes FNC the debate worth watching. The rest are discredited as Democrat "safe spaces,"

And it appears he has pounced and done exactly that from his twitter account:

Democrats just blocked @FoxNews from holding a debate. Good, then I think I’ll do the same thing with the Fake News Networks and the Radical Left Democrats in the General Election debates!

Really all either party has to do is A) not be crazy and/or B) keep their idiot mouths shut to win.

Neither of these seems to be in the cards dealt to either side, so it should be a heck of a ride.

Need citations for that one, Old Buzzard. The story was that Mo was some old skank's boy toy when he was young, and he thought that he deserved a little girl toy of his own when he grew up.

Funny - I never saw asking for a citation as being "called out". I'm just asking Buzz WTF he's talking about, after all.

The Imam Mohammad Tawhidi on a Joe Rogan podcast I think it was. I was playing vidya while The Roomie was watching it, loudly, in the other room, so I have no idea which. Pans out after an hour or so of looking into it myself though.

      Thanks - I found him. https://theatheistconservative.com/tag/imam-mohammad-tawhidi/ [theatheistconservative.com]

I read the text first - he does have some surprising ideas. And, it seems that a lot of Muslims want to kill him for those ideas. Why am I not surprised at that?

Tawhidi maintains that Aisha was actually 21 when Muhammad married her, but it was so important to Islam that Muhammad’s wife be a virgin that they reduced her to infancy to ensure that she could not be suspected of being unchaste. Islam holds virginity to be a much higher virtue, apparently, than refraining from pedophilia. What the Imam seems to have forgotten, is that Muhammad’s first wife (according to all the accepted records of his life such as they are) was a widow!

The video you mention seems to be the same video at the top of the page. Interview is 50:58 long, I don't think I want to listen to all of it. About 29;09 Tawhidi launches into his complaint about some Persian who lived 200 years after Mohammed, writing about Mohammed's sexual life, in detail. Hmmm. Maybe he has something there. We see much the same thing in Christianity, with all kinds of people explaining Jesus, despite the fact they lived hundreds of years after Jesus. Interesting.
