I don't think Islam forked off from Christianity. Judaism was the religion of reference from the Caspian to the Red Sea at the time, and the story of the Jew Jesus was remarkable enough for other tribes to accept a world view of a single god and the corresponding Judaic mythology, where before they were believing in the traditional multiple, but also regionally common, gods.

What do you disagree with? Mohammedism originally compelled followers to face Jerusalem during prayer and displaced Arab paganism using a mixture of recycled Abrahamic myths and violence.

He's not wrong. Islam is basically the continuation of Judaism, and maintains its post-Exilic hardcore monotheism and genocidal mania. Christianity absorbed all sorts of weird pagan shit (as did Judaism before it) and Islam seems to see itself as some kind of return to "primitive Yahwism" as far as I can tell. Judaism itself has basically been Zoroastrianism under another name since the Exile, though they'll never admit it.

Maybe that's why Muslims hate Jews so hard, because their worst enemy is basically no different than them. Personally, I say to Hell/Sheol/Jahannam with *all* of them.

Muhammed was a psychopath who convinced inbred Arabs that his epileptic seizures were supernatural revelation. He borrowed the Abrahamic stories but the Jews completely rejected him, blocking his rise to power.
