AT&T settles 5G E false advertising lawsuit with Sprint
Sprint and AT&T on Monday reached a settlement -- characterized by both as "amicable" -- over a lawsuit in which Sprint claimed its rival carrier used "numerous deceptive tactics to mislead consumers" with its "5G E" branding.

The real deal is that they are going to be more careful in the future so that it doesn't appear to be false advertising.

AT&T would like to apologize for the false advertising. We sincerely regret that those who were harmed by our actions had to discover that it was due to our poor efforts at being sufficiently deceptive.
AT&T pledges that in the future we will not be caught doing this again. We offer our apologies for our ineptness at deceiving you this time.
We are deeply sorry for the bad judgement and poor choice of actions which resulting in personal embarrassment for the top level executives and those others who participated in these false advertising crimes.
