Over two billion people use Facebook to buy and sell goods, chat with each other, and post vacation pictures. Now, according to a new report by Talos Intelligence, the social network is being harnessed by Dark Web cybercriminals as a place to sell credit card information, illegal contraband, and much more.
What's even more surprising, according to experts, is that this Dark Web activity isn't that dark or hard to find -- criminals sell credit cards right out in the open. One quick search for a term like "carding" (a criminal term for selling credit cards) reveals dozens of Facebook Groups.

Now that you mention it - it's been a long time since I've encountered a "young girl" on the internet who steered the conversation toward sexual encounters. Some of those were complete idiots. "Himynameisstephaniei'm12yearsolddoyouwanttomeetandfuck" within the first 15 seconds of discussion is such an obvious giveaway. The better ones were capable of carrying on a discussion, and just drop hints now and then, but most of them were awfully transparent. In all of my sixty-plus years, I've only met one real live girl under age fifteen who self-introduced, and immediately launched into a discussion of sex. From her first sentence, I was thinking, "Damn, this is weird!", and I got the hell away from her just as quickly as my wife permitted. THEN, I asked the wife why in hell she was even associating with that girl's mother. Totally fucked up!

As I've pointed out - some of those entrapment artists are more talented than others. On a forum for trucking discussions, there are some females, or people with female names, anyway. Talked with one off and on for days, before it started getting creepy. When she "admitted" that she was only fifteen is when I stopped talking to her. Not every sting is run by a complete idiot. If they were, they wouldn't have as many successes as they claim.
