For several weeks, citizens of North Olmsted, Ohio—a small town a few miles west of a NASA research center—have been plagued by a mysterious force that has blocked their garage openers and car key fobs from functioning. But after many attempts by amateur sleuths and expert technicians to determine the source of the vexation, the problem has been resolved.

According to the New York Times, North Olmsted officials first began receiving reports about the issue in late April. Since then more than a dozen residents of the town and the neighboring Fairview Park have told authorities about their inability to use garage door openers and key fobs.

It doesn't fit the definition of a riddle.

    Definition of riddle

1 : a mystifying, misleading, or puzzling question posed as a problem to be solved or guessed : conundrum, enigma
2 : something or someone difficult to understand
    3 : a coarse sieve
4 : to pierce with many holes
    5 : to spread through

Oh, Number Two! I get it now. It's both definitions of number two...someone difficult to understand and shit.
    Got it.

If you have to give hints to your own riddle you can be assured that it is a crap riddle.

I shouldn't have to give hints, but the level of thinking on this site may just be below what is required to solve the riddle.

Like first years who read a science article and can only conclude the same thing as the author, or disagree based on what some other expert said. The riddle is for people who can think for themselves and dusty guish between the data and speculated explanations.

If we're going with the "something difficult to understand" bit, why do we need hints? Doesn't giving hints to a riddle imply that you're looking for a correct answer?

The only question you posed was

Can you imagine a world where fire doesn't work anymore?

To which the answer is clearly "yes". Not that that's a particularly useful conclusion.

        Next!

P.S: This "hint" just makes me think this entire thing is trolling.

Ok, you all fail. The correct response (answer to the riddle) is:

          "It was raining you idiot!"

Is that an image hosting site with version control? How many other versions are out there, and what are the features of this one that recommend it as a hint for this riddle?

No, seriously, it won't load for me, and I am curious.
