Fast Company:

LeanIn.org and SurveyMonkey just released the results of a survey on the state of men and women interacting in the workplace in the age of #MeToo. The results are frustrating. The data reveals that 60% of male managers say they are uncomfortable performing common workplace activities such as mentoring, working one on one, or socializing with a woman. That's a 32% increase over last year.

To add insult to insult, senior-level men who were surveyed are now far more hesitant to spend time with junior female colleagues than junior male ones, across a range of basic work activities. The men were 12 times more likely to hesitate to have one-on-one meetings, nine times more likely to hesitate to travel with a junior woman for work, and six times more likely to hesitate to have a work dinner with a junior woman.

(Emphasis from original retained.)

A 32% increase in one year is a dramatic social trend.

I spent a week in a sexual harassment awareness class at a fortune 500 company way back during the Anita Hill hearings.

My crime? I repeated a joke I heard on the radio that morning.

"Anita Hill is suing Joe Biden for sexual harassment now. He told her they had a hung jury." Seriously. That was it. There were two women and one other man in the room.

What did I learn from the class? That sexual harassment is anything that two women will agree is sexual harassment. If you bend over to tie your shoelaces and two women thing you're doing something wrong, they can claim sexual harassment. I was also told that the next time I wouldn't go to a class, I'd be fired.

Fun fact: Most women are turned on by assertive men. They say they want respect and for a man to ask permission before initiating a kiss or a touch, but go ahead. Try it. You won't get very far. The guys who are bold and aggressive and just go for it are getting all the action, and, occasionally, they read someone wrong and get slapped. You young people can disagree with me if you want. But when you get to 60 and look back on your life, then you'll see it. Pop culture changes, but human nature doesn't change that much. That's the way it's always been. That's the way it is now and that's the way it will be in another century too. Unless, and until someone changes the way reproduction happens.

Just like the anti-vaxxers and the hyper religious minority, an overly vocal group getting too much attention skews everyone's perceptions of reality.

You should have immediately had your scrotum nailed to the chair you were sitting in, just to give you time to think about what a dick you were being. Guys like you need to die, so that humanity can move on. Else, move to a third world country where you can purchase a child-bride to do what you will with, like that fucking Nazi Anglin. But at some point, her older brother will visit to rain justice down upon your ass, and it will not be pretty, Anglo. Do not you see what an ass you are? I guess not, else you would not be such. It is up to the rest of us to make it plain to you, then. Don't wait for the brother. We are here. We are Men. We are legion. Expect us.
