    I don't get it. Yes, many people live in the city.. fine... and so there are all these street lights at night.

    Now.. there are two things here, well three, but two city related. First? There is power savings, and second there is "saving the night" movement.

    Those two mean some cities are turning off street lights in many places.

    And if you live in the country, there are no street lights. Sometimes (gasp!) for hundreds of kilometers!

    Anyone look at a cell phone at night when driving? Even when dimmed? Yes, it fucks your night vision up. And so will this, too.

    It *should* remain illegal in the US, and I hope it remains illegal here.

    So do the headlights of the guy behind you in your rear-view mirror. If they build it right this thing could actually *protect* your night vision by dimming or even shifting the spectrum of the incoming light.
