The only way to avoid the risks of this scenario is what the report describes as "akin in scale to the World War II emergency mobilization"—but this time focused on rapidly building out a zero-emissions industrial system to set in train the restoration of a safe climate.

    As any wise enough man knows, predictions are worthless if they don't take into account all factors. This is impossible to do in complex systems. Therefore one should be prudent, implement change not globally or not all at once and see what sticks. This is not how society operates. Because scammers rely on speed.

    My thinking exactly. There's no case for urgency in climate change spending except to shake down the rubes.
