North Korean leader Kim Jong Un inspected the demonstration of a "new-type tactical guided weapon" on Thursday as a warning to South Korea to stop importing high-tech weapons and conducting joint military exercises with the United States, state media KCNA said on Friday.

North Korea test-fired two new short-range ballistic missiles on Thursday, South Korean officials said, its first missile test since Kim and US President Donald Trump agreed to revive denuclearisation talks last month.

The KCNA report did not mention Trump or the US, but it said Kim criticised South Korean authorities for carrying on with joint exercises, which are usually conducted with US troops.

"We cannot but develop nonstop super-powerful weapon systems to remove the potential and direct threats to the security of our country that exist in the South," Kim said, according to KCNA.

He accused South Koreans of "double dealing" for saying they support peace but simultaneously importing new weapons and conducting military drills.

South Korea's leader should stop such "suicidal acts" and "should not make a mistake of ignoring the warning," Kim said.

Kim said he was satisfied with the rapid response and low-altitude trajectory of the weapon, which he said would make it difficult to intercept.

Seoul's National Security Council said on Thursday it believed the missiles were a new type of ballistic missile, but it would make a final assessment with the US.

Ballistic missile tests would be a violation of UN Security Council resolutions that ban North Korean use of such technology. North Korea rejects the restriction as an infringement of its right to self-defence.

At this point I think the lines have been drawn. Anyone supporting Trump at this point is fully invested, everyone else already realizes how terrible he is.

It is an "us vs. them" situation for conservatives and they apparently don't care how terrible their politicians are as long as they "win". Brainwashing for the lose, I mean "win".

Depends who he's running against. There's worse out there. Democrats still have plenty of opportunity to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

If that were true Clinton would have won in 2016. Afterall, there was a paid army of trolls reminding us about how terrible she was on a daily basis.

I can go find my posts on this very site from early 2016 saying Trump was going to win because you idiots wouldn't stop your juvenile and incoherent ranting about him.

The stuff about Clinton did not even come close. Every fucking unrelated thread had some moron who couldn't help themselves advertising for him by mentioning how stupid/racist/orange/etc Trump was.

Maybe the difference was that the detractors were making valid points about Hillary's criminal behavior, whereas the bad points about Trump were lost in the noise of emo screaming.

You just won't listen. People voted for him because they thought Hillary was worse.
If the democrats would just run a decent person as candidate then Trump would lose in 2020.

You're not supposed to wait for the democrats to do a damn thing. There is a reason they don't oppose the GOP. If the voters won't vote for somebody else, they are just shit out of luck.

    anybody but Trump in 2020

Have faith. I'm sure the Democrats can pick a candidate so uninspiring or controversial that Trump will squeak back in for a 2nd term. Biden on top, a young socialist on the bottom. Four more years, pretty much guaranteed.

We have at least 37 more years of Trump to look forward to.

It's Donald Trump for 5 more years until 2024, then Ivana Trump 2024-2032. Next Donald Trump Jr. in 2032-2040, and Eric Trump in 2040-2048. Finally Barron Trump in 2048-2056.
