Russian hackers probed election systems in all 50 states, a new Senate report confirmed Thursday.

The report comes one day after former special counsel Robert Mueller told Congress that the Russian government is working to meddle in U.S. elections "as we sit here."

"It wasn't a single attempt," Mueller said Wednesday of Russia's 2016 election interference. "They're doing it as we sit here. And they expect to do it during the next campaign."

The bipartisan report by the Senate Intelligence Committee released Thursday confirmed previous comments by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that Russian hackers scanned election systems in all 50 states ahead of the 2016 presidential election. DHS initially acknowledged Russian attempts to hack into election systems in just 21 states.

Wake me when Russia engages in violent regime change actions here -- like HRC/Obama in Libya. Till then, I would really like to see none of the newRedScare here.

Also wake me when the DNC actually does something for the people as opposed to grandstanding.

I don't find it as innocuous as you do. We were harmed GREATLY by Russia having Trump elected. If they were in all 50 states, then they easily contributed to the Orange Anus being elected, even though he lost the popular vote by over 2 million. The places where the race was tight, and Trump was declared winner, should be HIGHLY suspect at this point. ANY votes done electronically should be considered suspect and likely tampered with.

Considering how Trump has acted like Putin's Piss Boy, and the Republicans are actively obstructing any efforts to address voting security issues, I find it entirely believable that Russia is responsible.

Remember, there is a difference between manipulating our emotions, fears, and prejudices, and outright manipulation of the votes. One makes us look bad and weak, the other is a crystal clear call for WAR against Russia.

If it's proved that they elected Trump, then I wholly support going to war against Russia, both physically and in cyberspace. Send some cruise missiles and MOABs to the Kremlin and clue those fuckers in on what happens when you attack Americans!

Well, that's a half truth. If propaganda didn't work, campaigns wouldn't spend a billion+ on it every election.

Besides, this article describes an attempt at hacking election infrastructure, which, to be honest, I had thought was overblown bullshit on centrist dem's part. It's not stated whether anything was actually compromised, but I would say, in context, your confidence is undue.

Debbie Wassterman Schulz and other DNC operatives sabotaged Bernie Sanders, a jewish person, for the zionist project in Israel.

HRC would have at least charged a hefty fee for the concessions on Jerusalem, Gollan and in general allowing the Isaeli military to assassinate peaceful protestors and steal land all day long, as well as continually waging offensive war against syria.

Writing Israel out of the 2016 election and Trump presidency is a true expression of ignorance, and anything that Russia has done Israel has done twice as much, and we are actually paying money for the privilege and allowing a zionist cultural hegemony in our legal, media and financial systems, as well as spies to legally operate as a paramilitary for people like Harvey Weinstein and you know who.

Yes most Americans were repulsed by HRC as a person with good reason, but she was ultimately just as much of a traitor and also random fainting is hardly the trait of a good candidate....

Consistent application of law and principle is difficult nowadays, but I refuse to hand out respect to anyone selectively applying any rule to anyone, or anyone who thinks they are an exception.

Stop dealing with the monkey, and start dealing with the organ grinder.

I will never let any zionist claim they are an ally of my country. Alpha Zionist Shapiro was asked on Real Time with Bill Maher what he thought of trump and he just said he liked the tax cut, no other ideas to share. Trump is a disaster for america, 2016 was a disaster for america, zionists are just pouring gasoline on the fire and they welcome Russians to the dance party as the republic burns.

Apparently the pentagon and 'homeland security' are bent over some or another barrel just taking it, i suspect because they don't want to piss off whoever funds the whole unlimited unaudited budget they have going on, but who knows what the true interest of these generals are who don't take the job of actually defending anything very seriously.

Noooooooooo, Trump may have won because Russia was directly manipulating the vote. This is beyond partisan politics and is about a direct attack on our election infrastructure.

It doesn't matter who was trying to run for President. Hacking our election systems is an attack against our sovereignty and deserves a military response.

Trump isn't transparent either. Pee-Pee Tape anyone? He refuses to show his taxes, flaunts the foreign emoluments clause, refuses to divest himself from his businesses, funnels money from campaigns back into his pocket, etc. He's a dirty fuckwad, and it looks likely that he is actually serving RUSSIA.

So it's not hyperbolic to state that the Russians hacked our election system to forcibly elect somebody that they could control, or already control.

You should be EXTREMELY concerned and pissed off about this. The first thing we should be doing is outlawing electronic voting of any kind, and securing our election infrastructure. To do otherwise is a dickhead partisan move, because just at the moment, the Russians are supporting the Republicans.

Maybe it's because Evergreen is so near me so I'm noticing, but the authoritarian nature of the extreme left is being inculcated into today's youth, who are tomorrow's leaders. And it isn't just thought crime that is being repressed via physical or economic violence, it is actual crime being excused. Look at Oberlin and that bake shop -- the administration's proposal for lifting crippling economic sanctions for the charge of being racist (arrest data from the shop showed it absolutely did not profile any protected group) was to require the owners to give certain groups one free shoplifting crime. That's equity thinking in action (not equality, think Harrison Bergeron: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harrison_Bergeron [wikipedia.org] ).

Today at least, a jury found for the shop owners against Oberlin, but you know most of the jurors were probably educated in a different time. The focus on intersectionality, equity, destruction of due process (#meToo), the straight up unabashed racism, book/art burning (look at how in San Francisco, a school just voted to paint over a mural painted by a communist during the depression designed to undermine hero worship of George Washington, because it shows GW was a slave owner and that natives were treated badly and that might offend certain protected groups -- the shallowness of thought and the willingness to destroy art has the total stink of religious intolerance about it -- how's the saying go: "where they burn books, soon they burn people").

The kids being taught this stuff today will be tomorrow's leaders, and what they are being taught is that X view is righteous and all other views are heretical. You can't even talk about other views and examine them. This is not a recipe for freedom, rather, it is the foundation of authoritarian rule, and all authoritarians -- right, left, middle, purple, whatever -- are a threat to liberty (by fucking definition!). The fact that it is no longer possible to have nuanced conversations about topics without the fear of becoming the subject of the next Twitter Lynching, is merely a symptom of that authoritarianism in action, and a sign of worse to come.

Your behavior here is an example of this sort authoritarian thought in action. You can't have a discussion about a topic with someone without resorting to verbal bashing unless of course you are in perfect agreement, because why: the other person's views are unworthy of discussion? You know all the answers? Everyone who disagrees with you is a nazi at heart? That's new left authoritarianism. You should work on that.

It is going on still, and it exists at two levels. I'm not saying there is any coordination between levels, just that both exist. You have west coast street-fighting antifa gaining power from Seattle to San Francisco and close to completely condoned in a place like Portland. At the "legit" level, you hear the same type intersectionalist claptrap from The Squad in Congress who to normal people sound like a broken record screaming "racist" but what you have to realize is that whiteness is akin to original sin (without the opportunity for redemption) and there is nothing a white person does which is not racist -- merely existing is racist. They aren't calling people racist ironically or out of calculation -- they believe it.

Seattle. No antifa is nothing here. I saw them before they were antifa. They were always skinny kids in dirty black sweatshirts. They'd commit minor property damage and they weren't ever good at it. The SPD has somehow convinced them to always freak out at "westlake park" where everything is made of concrete, plexiglass, and bronze... there hasn't been a single breakable thing since the WTO protests in 1999. They even publish their secret plans online... they are really bad at this and nothing to be scared of, they're getting less popular every day. They wear black so they police know who they are even before they start flipping out.

Running into SJWs or whatever you want to call them a few years before they appeared in the rest of the country was not cool and it was scary to see them popping up on the internet and getting on the news. A lot of people who may look and in some ways act like SJWs are not sjw's at all. They're mostly unaware of the nutballs, a lot of them are just venting on the internet too. I complain about boomers and sometimes I have to stop myself because I see that something I'm saying is going to sound pretty threatening to some perfectly fine boomers who aren't even the people I'm talking about.

You've considered that the russians were giving money to these assholes cash on patron. Remember they all had that shit and the worst ones all seemed to be getting a middle class salary for their area and then they all went broke after the election?

Nobody likes the people you don't like. They don't even like each other they're eating each other alive over stupid shit and it's often transparently vindictive. It's difficult for most super liberals to believe this shit even exists because they know they're considered pretty radical and they don't think that shit and they don't believe that any of their friends do either and that's why they're friends. At Evergreen you'll know it exists. There were tons of students there trying to get by and get an education. Many of them were even involved in whatever causes but most of us were irritated by the people there to skip school and "protest" in possibly the most liberal public university in the country.
