Russian hackers probed election systems in all 50 states, a new Senate report confirmed Thursday.

The report comes one day after former special counsel Robert Mueller told Congress that the Russian government is working to meddle in U.S. elections "as we sit here."

"It wasn't a single attempt," Mueller said Wednesday of Russia's 2016 election interference. "They're doing it as we sit here. And they expect to do it during the next campaign."

The bipartisan report by the Senate Intelligence Committee released Thursday confirmed previous comments by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that Russian hackers scanned election systems in all 50 states ahead of the 2016 presidential election. DHS initially acknowledged Russian attempts to hack into election systems in just 21 states.

Do you know the name of your Secretary of State? Did you ask about security when he or she was running for office?

Have you tried volunteering to help with election security? Have you tried it through a professional group?

We have obligations that go with our skills, and in PA/MI/WI it is critical.

"We have obligations that go with our skills"

We can be friends. I call it 'the fight between those fighting for the user and those fighting to build a prison'

If you don't like Fake News, wait til you see Fake Voting. If the builders and operators of voting systems do not protect the integrity of the system, as in can it report a vote accurately, can it count accurately, then the voting machine is actually attacking the user and taking away their rights and telling a very big lie.

Switzerland, who should be no stranger to fundamental concepts of security I would think, recently tried to hire some consultants to make their electronic voting system and no one even thought to ask the dear hired coders to make sure their code is readable, documented and easily audited, so after a number of years they were delivered spaghetti code. Such incompetence and ignorance on all parties is difficult to believe, it is what I would expect if they were intentionally from day 1 trying to steal elections through obscure software bugs. Those consultants and the people who commissioned them showed us how much they care about the obligations that go with their skills, which is 0. Just another demonstration from Garbage People.

With knowledge and power accrue responsibility, and with responsibility comes moral burden of being a good or bad person, and gaslighting and other deception games against innocent civilians via subversion of democracy is something that should keep you up at night to the extent you are one of the stooges and traitors working for the myriad array of companies in places like Nebraska and Kentucky for some reason who are hellbent on preventing fair and verifiable elections, anywhere, but especially in countries with big war machines teetering on the brink of totalitarianism.

What they are doing is mass gaslighting. They are doing all manner of obfuscating delay tactics in investigating this actual electronic attack while plotting for literally decades to get stooges like kavanaugh to lifetime appointments to game the system, and then when we point it out they call us nutjob wingnuts snowflake sore losers, etc.

Trump, Facebook, CNN, the republican party, aipac, Putin and many others are playing hear no evil see no evil and hide the potato. It truly astounds me that there, in all the 1.5 trillion dollars of 'defense' budget, anyone who will actually defend the country, no one is defending us. I have started to think that some of the people in the miltitary industrial tyranny complex are being paid NOT to defend the country, as in all the guys floating in the persian gulf and in some bunker writing code for cruise missiles or devising the perfect encryption-that-is-not-really-encryption, would actually be able to fix this if they weren't so pre-occupied on clearly offensive measures.

All of the goals of american 'dominance' and strength means nothing if the republic falls. If I were getting a paycheck to drive a truck in afganistan or patrolling the scary perimeter of rammstein airforce base or finding ways to intimidate and silence civilians who say inconvenient things while Troompa and his international cabal of creepy rapists operate out of 666 park avenue, I would take this opportunity to rethink my life and get my priorities straight.

Yes, the person who runs around theatrically hugging the flag is running an Embrace Extend Extinguish and 4D operations on your country and you are helping him do it to the extent that you are working on computers or security and not helping.

And election systems are the definition of the need for encryption, if all encryoption and computers have backdoors, then whatever people hold the keys to these backdoors i.e. the current ruling government, are effectively SuperGod of all of the elections. Elections require local and state officials to have secrets from federal and party officials, there can be no backdoor whatsoever under any circumstances.

So don't forget that the stooges currently declaring that we can't have encryption are also saying that we can't have real elections, we can only have fake propaganda ones.

This should scare you with actual fear to the extent you do not like being ruled and owned by sociopaths and psychopaths and mobsters and/or religious fanatics.

Tried. Got back a boilerplate "trust us" letter. County level rather than state, admittedly, but it's our county that's using the un-auditable fully electronic eSlate garbage that's trivially hacked by insiders.
