Russian hackers probed election systems in all 50 states, a new Senate report confirmed Thursday.

The report comes one day after former special counsel Robert Mueller told Congress that the Russian government is working to meddle in U.S. elections "as we sit here."

"It wasn't a single attempt," Mueller said Wednesday of Russia's 2016 election interference. "They're doing it as we sit here. And they expect to do it during the next campaign."

The bipartisan report by the Senate Intelligence Committee released Thursday confirmed previous comments by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that Russian hackers scanned election systems in all 50 states ahead of the 2016 presidential election. DHS initially acknowledged Russian attempts to hack into election systems in just 21 states.

This has nothing to do with Hillary you stupid fuck. It's about RUSSIA DIRECTLY MANIPULATING OUR VOTING SYSTEMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you not fucking understand that? What the fuck is wrong with you? It's a direct attack against our sovereignty. We may be forced to choose between a shit sandwich and a douchenozzle, but at least we get to choose. When Russia steals that by hacking electronic voting machines and subverting our election infrastructure it is a direct attack against America.

This is beyond two party politics, or partisan politics in general. You want to hand waive that away, you better understand that you're giving away EVERYTHING to RUSSIA. They control our politics, who gets to choose what.

Considering that Donny Douchebag flaunts the foreign emoluments clause, refuses to show taxes, and is highly suspected to be in bed with the Russian mob, we should be very concerned that America isn't being directly compromised by Russia on a daily basis.

For the record you stupid fuck, I hated Hillary. But this ain't about that bitch. It ain't about Bernie. It's only tangentially about Orange Anus too.

    Wake up dumbass!!

    Unhinged much?

The worst possible outcome from Russia or anyone else flipping some bits in a voting machine that is stupidly connected to the internet is that we elect one of the shitty candidates offered up by our own shitty system. Which we were going to do anyway. If TPTB actually thought that this mattered they would get the damn voting machines fixed and rerun the election. The idea that this could lead to the downfall of the empire is laughable.

You think Russia has influence in US politics? Name one sinister thing that the US has done because Russia told it to.

Let's also take your self righteous argument and turn it around. What of all the countries whose sovereignty was directly attacked by the US? And by attacked I don't mean someone ran a port scan, I mean their citizens were killed and their infrastructure was destroyed. If you want to start WW3 because you're so much more important than everyone else, don't expect too many people to take your side. Not that it will matter after the nukes start flying.

You are sublimating your visceral hatred of Trump into a principled stand for democracy.

The idea that Russia, a shadow of the Soviet Union, can turn a US election for a couple hundred thou is absurd. it is just patently unbelievable on a yellow cake uranium level.

If you really want to take a principled stand for American democracy against foreign interference, first go out an excoriate all those dancing to AIPAC's tune. yeah, thought not.

Pathetic that you would excuse actual hacking of our election machines.

You can bitch all day about AIPAC while still condemning Russia's actions. Amazing that their propaganda has sunk so deeply into the older brains that we're reading shit like yours.

Just putting forth the idea that Russia did any hacking for "a couple hundred thou" is profoundly stupid, and then tying it to another Republican boondoggle. Bleh, you sure have switched to being a conservative chud over the years.

The budget of just the one Russian STate hacking group that was prosecuted by Meuller was 1.5 million a month. The ads purchased on facebook alone were over $200k a month. You really need to drop the "couple hundred thousand" lie. It makes you look really stupid.

So they spent a whole $12 million on it? Do you realize more than $1 billion was spent by the two campaigns? So their $12 million is magically more effective than the $1 billion?

You should revisit the scale of american elections before persisting with such absurd theories.

From that avenue, $12m. at least $100m through the NRA laundering, and most likely the bulk of the half billion they spent on Trump. And all of that very very targeted. As in, targeted by name. Ad buys were listed not by demographic, but by individuals. So a $100k ad buy on facebook did not go out to 100,000 uninterested individuals- it sent carefully worded propaganda and lies straight to the eyes of 100,000 right leaning but undecided people.

if we are so fucking stupid to use proprietary voting machines then we deserve to be "hacked"
