Coronal Hole Activity on 31 July-1 Aug, 2019

Several coronal holes (CH) are currently spread across the visible solar disk. Analysis indicates that the isolated, negative polarity CH identified as CH45- will likely connect with Earth later on Wednesday, 31 July, 2019 and result in unsettled to active levels of geomagnetic response. The CH high speed stream (HSS) associated enhancements in the solar wind are expected to continue into Thursday, 1 August, 2019. Late in the week, connections with the positive polarity CH HSS (CH47+ and CH48+) are expected and some elevated levels of geomagnetic response are likely. Keep checking our SWPC web page for the latest information and forecasts regarding these features.

There is an elevated chance of power outages and electronics experiencing errors during these events. And lovely aurora too.

promise cross my heart hope to die I could really use a job.

If you are Ok with jobs that pay nothing, I have some that I could offer you.

(on the side note: I'm sick with the politihead idiots telling me how many jobs they created and pretending a job is a meaningful end in itself. Not that I object of people freedom to consent to working for nothing, if that's what they want; heck, occasionally I'm doing it myself)

Your offer will be seen as very generous in a few years, you are willing to give away a free job.

All these things you think are jokes are on their way with negative interest rates. Getting paid interest to take out a mortgage, paying a bank interest on your savings account, getting paid to relax and party, paying someone to have a job... It is all coming, and fools will blame "capitalism" for the nonsense central banks and big governments created. This is the end game.

You mean... we are approaching the golden age of opensource?
Be quiet my hearth; after all this time, can one still hope for the year of Linux on desktop?

It won't be like you think, the developer will pay you to use their proprietary software. So people will prefer getting paid to use closed source.

Not if getting paid means a liability to them, no.

It won't be a liability unless it pushes them into the next tax bracket. You'll still need money to buy stuff.

              Be consistent, please.
The interest of the retailer/grocer will be to have debt, not profit, because any profit they need to keep in the banks is a liability. Even more, if they chose to store the money under the mattress (instead of bank accounts), their value are gonna degrade by the day.
Consequence: competition and whatnot, they will end in paying me, the consumer, to take their merchandise off them.

Guess what? You are gonna buy from those who offer you less money to take the their stuff. Otherwise, your day to day life will push you into the next tax bracket.

No, the government will still demand everyone pay taxes in the currency, pension funds need to use it to by bonds, etc. So people will still need to get the currency to settle credits/debts. Stop thinking this system will make sense, it doesn't.

It will probably be like it already is when working for the government, at the end of every quarter people will hope to spend as much as possible to blow the budget so then they have more money next budget.

It's already happening to my friend at a marketing company, they put loud live music and alcohol right behind his desk so he can't get work done. So he probably needs to start paying a coworking space to continue working.
