RHEL clone Oracle Linux 8, released a few weeks ago, has been deployed to the public mirror. So you now have no-registration-required access to a production-ready 8 to evaluate while we await CentOS 8. Download from here.

Many other distributions are available at https://mirrors.kernel.org

Unlike RHEL 6, Scientific Linux is dead and will not be releasing a clone of 8, so your RHEL clone choices are now just CentOS and Oracle.

Larry doesn't charge you to download and play with OL8. And now you don't even need to register with Oracle to get the iso image. Hate Oracle? Fine, don't deploy it in your prduction.

EPEL for 8 isn't out yet. I imagine it will become available shortly after CentOS 8.
