Some corporates make informed choices given their (perceived) needs and the options available.
That being said: For more and more corporates the Oracle-RDBMS-ecosystem isn't the only option anymore that fits those needs.
Currently in the 5th year of a 3 year plan in getting rid of mentioned ecosystem. :-)
And in a number of years we'll most likely repeat the same exercise with our current cloudvendor. :-D
