UPI reports ( https://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2019/08/23/5291566589999/ ) that Google has published and communicated to employees on Thursday new guidelines regarding communication by employees. The new policy, oddly available to the public at https://about.google/community-guidelines/ , is described as official and applying to employees while in the workplace.

Prominently mentioned are political discussions:

While sharing information and ideas with colleagues helps build community, disrupting the workday to have a raging debate over politics or the latest news story does not. Our primary responsibility is to do the work we've each been hired to do, not to spend working time on debates about non-work topics. Avoid conversations that are disruptive to the workplace or otherwise violate Google's workplace policies. Managers are expected to address discussions that violate those rules.

As well as internal matters:

Do not access, disclose, or disseminate Need-to-Know or Confidential information in violation of our Data Security Policy. You are responsible for adhering to these guidelines, our Code of Conduct, and other workplace policies. If discussions or behavior don't align with this policy, managers and discussion owners/moderators are expected to intervene. If necessary we will remove particular discussion forums, revoke commenting, viewing, or posting privileges, or take disciplinary action.

Is the party dying down a bit?

Yup. No entity infested with SJWs has ever been able to successfully purge enough of them to resume their original purpose. It ain't called the Impossibility of SJW Convergence for nothing. Google is too big to fail so it will flail around for fifty years in its dying, but the days of dominating the tech world are about to end, they simply will be unable to accomplish much at this point. Projects will take longer and longer to finally flop out half finished, many will simply be canceled outright after burning through ungodly amounts of wealth. Outsourcing will become the new buzzword in Google land. And ever more Social Justice activities underwritten by Google money and done on the clock by Google employees as they ignore these pleas by management to return the organization back toward productive activity.

This pattern has been seen too many times, we know how the story ends. When the infection finally breaches containment and gets to DoubleClick the final struggle will begin, as that is the only profitable division of Alphabet / Google.

Wow. You make so much soup from an oyster. Must be tasty.

You're right. Every company should just allow it's people to go in the hallways on all day long about how wonderful it is Trump is saving the world. Or how Trump is destroying it. Or prattle on about SJW and virtue signalling as if they knew what that means.

Really doesn't matter which way for these purposes.

Can you imagine a Google where they can't seem to get a project out past Beta?

      That would be inconceivable!
