Bruce Schneier has written a short piece over at Lawfare in response to ongoing calls to weaken encryption. Unlike during the cold war there is no longer a distinction between consumer grade encryption and military encryption. This is because customized encryption is both more expensive and less secure, because it is unique, non-standard, and untested.
In his keynote address at the International Conference on Cybersecurity, Attorney General William Barr argued that companies should weaken encryption systems to gain access to consumer devices for criminal investigations. Barr repeated a common fallacy about a difference between military-grade encryption and consumer encryption: "After all, we are not talking about protecting the nation's nuclear launch codes. Nor are we necessarily talking about the customized encryption used by large business enterprises to protect their operations. We are talking about consumer products and services such as messaging, smart phones, e-mail, and voice and data applications."
The thing is, that distinction between military and consumer products largely doesn't exist. All of those "consumer products" Barr wants access to are used by government officials—heads of state, legislators, judges, military commanders and everyone else—worldwide. They're used by election officials, police at all levels, nuclear power plant operators, CEOs and human rights activists. They're critical to national security as well as personal security.

This 'antisemitic' word, as used here and in many other places, is profoundly anti-intellectual. It is effectively, as you use it, a cancerous thought-terminating cliche in the english language and global culture.
Semitism is not Israel. In fact, you will have a very difficult time even defining this word.
I would like to know exactly what about what I said makes it anti-semitic?
If Epstein, Kushner, Wexler, Michael Chertoff, Jonathan Pollard, Jeffrey Zucker, Les Moonves, Sheldon Adelson, Rahm Emmanuel and bro, and Harvey Weinstein were not jewish people with an obvious allegiance to the foreign country of Israel AND if they had not been up to consistently disreputable shennanignas in my country, we wouldn't have anything to argue about here.
But they are allegiant to israel and they have been betraying the united states with actions no actual ally would ever even think of. Actual Anti-semites lifting their head up from actual anti-semitic literature told us to expect exactly this from jewish people and the nation state of israel. Am I supposed to not make this obvious observation for some reason? What reason?
So America-firsters like myself, whose belief against the war on terror(sic), racism and crony capitalism is being essentially outlawed so that these israeli firsters can traffic thirteen year old girls, genocide palestians and operate Victoria's Secret like they are kings of the world.
What do you want me to say? I would have the same to say if it were any race, ethnicity or culture subverting my government, but it's not chinese, indian, russian, canadian, australian, or african people causing the trouble in my country and thus the world, it is jewish people with a fanatical allegiance to israel, also known as zionists. I am certain many jewish people would agree with me, but they too are scared shitless of these people, and also of the repercussions of jewish people being so awful in ways that exactly fit the historical record. After epstein no one in the world is wondering why jewish people were expelled from europe in the middle ages, I can tell you that much.
Multiculturalism does not work if one of the cultures declares itself above criticism and then seeks to take over all of the key positions in the culture hegemony(and effectively legalize rape, terrorism etc for themselves). Boycotting has always been free speech if one of the cultures is acting awful, in the past it has been white people, but now these people are saying it is no longer a legitimate tactic when used against anyone who might be jewish. Do you not see this outright moral contradiction? (I say it's an intentional manipulation)
This phrase anti-semitism which you throw around so non-chalantly is the 'witchcraft' or 'communism' of our age, it is the anti-intellectual hunting of people who refuse to adopt the propaganda paradigms foisted on us by CNN(owned by zionists).
And you want to use this word to essentially silence me from criticizing institutions which I rely on for my personal privacy and encryption, while ignoring the blatant mountain of corruption and misdirection coming from Trump/Barr which is doing everything it can to sell out my rights and empower Israel to operate the government of the United States like a tributary vassal. (and europe too, Israel has hamstrung the labor party with exactly this tactic to get brexit through)
So I'll ask, are you on America's side or are you on Israel's side? Because you can't be on both anymore, this is what Epstein proved. Israel showed us how much they value us americans as allies, and they chose to traffic and rape underage girls with Ehud Barak and Victoria's Secret rather than be our friend. There are some reporters and law enforcement who apparently did not think this deserves to be rewarded, I am on their side.
What about you? Are you fooled by this mind trick where there is one exceptional group of people who you cannot criticize without being a nazi? Are you ready to let this group of people get away with literally anything just so no one throws a slur at you? (and tries to globally blacklist and harass you?)
