Bags of white powder seized as part of a "huge drugs bust" at London's Gatwick Airport actually contained vegan cake ingredients, the British Transport Police said.
A member of staff at Purezza, a vegan restaurant with stores in London and Brighton, was transporting a suitcase filled with bags of cake mix when it was seized by police Wednesday afternoon.

Knock on McDonalds all you want, but the next time you've been eating foreign food in a foreign country for a week. You'll be quite happy to see those Golden Arches. I'm vegetarian and even I was quite happy to see them. Best thing about fast food, is it's mostly the same wherever you go. I was quite happy to have some french fries and ice cream.

I constantly do this, I eat foreign food at home too. I even very occasionally eat mcdonalds, although would never go for their icecream, and their fries are terrible.

McDonald's icecream isn't bad - at least it won't give you digestive issues for the rest of the day like their other food.

KFC is a better option. McDonald's hamburgers could very well be ground cat, but a chicken is a chicken is a chicken.

The rumor is that KFC was forced to change its name to "KFC" because they started using genetically engineered meat that tasted just like but was not actually chicken, so they could not legally call it "Fried Chicken" any more.

Wow, you're weird. I absolutely *never* eat at McD's, either in the US or when I'm abroad. And I never get tired of foreign food, especially Asian food. Maybe the problem is that you're vegetarian: many foreign cuisines don't cater to vegetarians.

I essentially never eat at McDonald's, either. The experience I was referring to happened when I was much younger, so McDonald's Ice Cream and French Fries were a taste of home. To top it all off we had the privilege of drinking carbonated water while we were there as it was the only water that was known to be safe to drink. I.E. Not re-bottled local tap water. As the local tap water would have done bad things to our insides.

Yes, I was happy to see the Golden Arches when I needed a place to piss or shit for free.
Otherwise: I travelled halfway around the world, why the fuck would I want to eat American factory food?
