Windows 10X Details Leak, Confirm Laptop Support

A new leak confirms that Windows 10X will be coming to laptops and other traditional PC form factors. The leak also shows a more refined version of the system's Chrome OS-like user interface that Brad and I, and others, had seen in the past.

The leak comes courtesy of The Walking Cat on Twitter, who discovered a public-facing Azure website for the coming system. It was quickly taken down by Microsoft, but not before a few enthusiast websites took a peek.

Also at The Verge and ZDNet.

Windows 7 seems like they'd taken everything they'd learned up to that point and just made as good of an operating system as they could.

Windows 10 seems like where the MBAs took over and decided to monetize everything. Seriously, what kind of Operating System should be auto-downloading bloatware like Candy Crush Saga while you're first setting up the computer? So long as they don't go subscription based and my game "just work", I'll be stuck with them for the foreseeable future. It's awesome that Steam works on Linux, but the main issue isn't whether the Platform work on Linux. It's what system the games are designed for. Sure cross-platform is a thing, but it takes extra time and effort to support all those platforms. Each one will have their own unique issues and that costs money to fix. So, in the meantime, I'm stuck with Win10. I could jump ship anytime, but for now I'm not put out enough to go through the extra effort to make Linux work for me.
