From Bloomberg:

Forty years ago, scientists from 50 nations converged on Geneva to discuss what was then called the "CO2-climate problem." At the time, with reliance on fossil fuels having helped trigger the 1979 oil crisis, they predicted global warming would eventually become a major environmental challenge.

Now, four decades later, a larger group of scientists is sounding another, much more urgent alarm. More than 11,000 experts from around the world are calling for a critical addition to the main strategy of dumping fossil fuels for renewable energy: there needs to be far fewer humans on the planet.

[...] The scientists make specific calls for policymakers to quickly implement systemic change to energy, food, and economic policies. But they go one step further, into the politically fraught territory of population control. It "must be stabilized—and, ideally, gradually reduced—within a framework that ensures social integrity," they write.

Others disagree, stating

Fewer people producing less in greenhouse-gas emissions could make some difference in the danger that climate change poses over time. But whether we end up with 9, 10, or 11 billion people in the coming decades, the world will still be pumping out increasingly risky amounts of climate pollution if we don't fundamentally fix the underlying energy, transportation, and food systems.

Critics blast a proposal to curb climate change by halting population growth

Yeah, it always seems that someone else has to make a sacrifice, never themselves.

Your first point is precisely eugenics.
    The rest are childish fantasies.

Those are not my points, those are the georgia guidestones. Apparently they don't ring a bell. My fault.

My point is just the last line.

So you're a bigoted dickhole ok. By dickhole I mean you are regularly penetrated by big black cocks and you're so traumatized by your own life choices that you've decided to support murdering the human population to cover for your guilty pleasures. Nothing wrong with big black cock, we're all hoping you come to terms with your sexuality instead of supporting genocide.

Not sure why sexual repression results in people going all Nazi, I leave it up to historians and/or psychologists.

errr I guess you should read up on the georgia guidestones.

To be completely explicit, my opinion is that the georgia guidestones are a plan hiding in plain sight, all you have to do to decode it is: consider it newspeak.
First point decoded: "cause overpopulation and pollution, then keep the best slaves alive, dependent on resources scarcity and perpetual therapy". Environmentalism comes from the 1 percenters, that is from the system that defeated the pre industrial society, which was more respectful of the environment and demography.
You can have fun decoding the other points yourself.

    fair laws and just courts.

Fair and just have little connection to today's courts, and are damn hard to agree on for parties on either side of a case.

    petty laws and useless officials.

Experience says there are precious few exceptions to those rules.

Balance personal rights with social duties.

Couch potatoes vaping CBD will get right on that, yep.

Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.

Sorry, even the bald guys in the prison jumpsuits are daunted by this goal, and most of the rest of us are afraid to try.

Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature

Cancer is just overly successful life - and what has humanity been for the last 80 years or so?

Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.

Pretty words, but right up there with truth and justice - more a matter of perspective than any achievable goal.

Unite humanity with a living new language.

The UK tried - China seems to have other ideas...

    Guide reproduction wisely

Seems like a few billion years of random evolution has proven quite proficient at this. Also worth noting: computer Go algorithms never bested a human until something called Monte Carlo Tree Search was applied - it seems that playing randomly and learning from mistakes can enable a computer to learn the game of Go better than any wise human player in just a few hours now.

    improving fitness and diversity.

Diversity should play into the above goals - not just homogeneous mixing, but all kinds of diversity.

As for improving fitness, call me when a human is wise enough to beat a computer at Go again, then I might believe we're smart enough to choose our own fitness metrics to yield long term positive benefit.
