Sheffield-based company Viners has produced the "Assure" range, square-ended knives which are "shaped to reduce and prevent injuries, accidents and fatalities." With knife crimes in England and Wales at their highest in a decade, a 3% increase on last year and the highest level since 2009, this new knife is intended to not be used in crimes and only in the kitchen. While anti-stabbing messages have been left on fastfood containers and a crackdown on knife crime has been tried, for which included limiting the sale of knives, so far nothing has blunted the knife based problem.
When have social problems been solved by technical solutions?

It seems no one on either side of the pond wants to solve the underlying issues: poverty, violence, and economic stressors. Happy people don't, as a rule, perforate one another, whether at close range or far-off.
I see two schools of "thought;" the do-nothing/make-it-worse crowd exemplified by, for the most pertinent case, the GOP in the US, and the "do something, as long as it makes us look good" side, which is, well...this. And other knee-jerk "ban ALL of X Y and Z!" bans, especially those that apply to melee weapons.
The real problems are systemic and cultural, and no politician seems to want to take them on because the solutions 1) will take decades, 2) aren't popular with the rich elite who are the real ruling class, and 3) as a result of the first two don't help re-election chances. So unfortunately, these societies are doomed to perish in madness and internal warfare, with only a faint hope of better-minded people rebuilding something from the ashes.

Communism is supposed to eliminate poverty and economic stressors, how is that working out? How do you eliminate the underlying issue of violence? Violence is just human nature, for some people more than others. Other than locking people up at the first sign of trouble ( and preventing them from breeding as a huge side effect ) how are you going to deal with those people? Giving them pot and singing Kumbaya every day in schools is not going to work.

Nope. Humans seem to have about a 1-in-80 rate of sociopathy at least among males, and humans as a whole seem to be competitive by nature. But it would go a long way to 1) eliminating many forms of and reasons for violence and 2) making it less likely for situation to arise in which people feel a need to *be* violent.
Don't fall for the Nirvana Fallacy ("Never mind," i.e., making the perfect the enemy of the good).

No. Psychopathy is 1%, Sociopathy (ASPD) 3% and NPD 1% with some overlap. That is not 1-in-80 for individuals we would generically call "sociopathic" so where are you getting that figure from?
In Iran it is illegal to be homosexual so they have the highest rates of transgenderism in the world. The rates of NPD in the LGBT community are... ouch! [nih.gov] So there's over half the LGBT community with an abusive personality disorder. I attempted to discuss this with you before, now I'll just say be careful where you point your finger - and take care of yourself.

Just kill the bastards in the street when they commit violent crime.
Problem will be vastly reduced. There is no other solution. Well, maybe locking them up is 2nd best. Even better than killing them is not to bring likely troublemakers into your country in the first place.

Can you enumerate those achievments? I'm fairly sure that most of them were torn down by other Africans, or by the jungles they live in. Earthquakes, tsunamis, fires, and other natural disasters did far more to destroy African civilizations than any white people. And, oh yeah - Arabic and Persian invasions and slavery took their toll.
You give too much credit to the Euros when you claim that they tore down much of anything in Africa.

Well since I was talking about achievements in the US like Black Wallstreet and simple individual success for families you're as usual off base. My Africa history knowledge is not great, but I'm betting the slave trade derailed a lot of their societal development for quite a while. Turning tribes against each other as slave trading mercenaries wouldn't be good for any society.
But you want to put them in a bubble and blame their DNA for every bad thing that happened. Such blatant racist ignorance that ignores the history of "white" people. Racism is one expression of the problem. The problem is something deeper and more primitive than that: simplistic tribalism, a hyperactive, cancerous ingroup/outgroup mentality. That is, to say the least, maladaptive in a globally-connected world.
