Transactions may not be carried from "a nearby space" that is not part of the dealers' property unless they are participating in qualified gun shows.

Larry Keane, general counsel for the firearms industry trade group National Shooting Sports Foundation, said Friday that the organization raised the issue with the ATF more than two weeks ago as dealers sought to navigate various government orders limiting business activity.

Keane said the new ATF guidance in no way alters the requirements for background checks.

      But their case is not singular: see also the fundamental theorem of software engineering [wikipedia.org]

      There's no problem that can't be solved by introducing an extra level of indirection; with the notable exception of the problem of too many layers of indirection.

      We don't have a problem with too much wild west. Gun violence has dropped over the past decade or two while gun ownership has risen, both by quite a bit. What we have a problem with are kids who've had their heads fucked nine kinds of up by modern educating and child-rearing methods.

        Yeah, gun violence has gone down, so more guns is not a problem. But liberal education is a problem, even though things are getting better !

            No, it's not liberal. It's progressive. And it absolutely does not make people think for themselves. Free speech zones? Deplatforming? Ring a bell? Destroying the spread of any ideas that challenge your own is not even slightly liberal nor is it allowing the free exchange of information and ideas necessary to make informed decisions for yourself.
