Arthur T Knackerbracket has found the following story:

When Jane Goodall witnessed a chimpanzee troop split into two bands in 1974, she called the event a "once-in-a-lifetime" opportunity. Now, a group of chimp researchers fears missing its own once-in-a-lifetime moment because of the coronavirus pandemic. Two years ago, they, too, witnessed a chimp group fission at Kibale National Park in Uganda. The consequences surprised them: Males of one group recently attacked the other and beat up the females. "I would have never predicted that males that have grown up together would be at each other's throats," says John Mitani, a primatologist at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. But he and his colleagues are likely to remain ignorant about how this power struggle plays out over the coming months or even the next year.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, most of the research team has left the country. Mitani says such precautions make sense for both humans and chimps, who are likely vulnerable to COVID-19, too, according to an 11 April preprint on bioRxiv. But he and his colleagues may miss the rare events that structure chimpanzee society.

We have here a perfect example of a typical right-wing fascist rewriting history to fit his convoluted and biased version of reality.

I am old enough to have basically followed Goodall's entire career. When she started her work with the chimps, she was effectively very naive, very idealistic, very "hippy", and it showed in her early publications and documentaries. She wasn't "lying", she was "biased", and this bias, unfortunately, colored her work.

But anyone who followed her work regularly will tell you that she started losing her illusions very rapidely. She started early on to mention the most unspeakable acts she witnessed, but she also mentionned the most beautiful acts of frienship, kindness and love she also witnessed. And if you listen to her today, she refuses to condemn chimps societies as "all bad", for the same reason she refuses to condemn the human race as "all bad". If anything, she claims that what she learned throughout the years is that chimps and humans have more in common than she could possibly have imagined, both in the worst possible and the best possible way.

But clearly, all you know about Goodall's work is what you learned in your little white supremacist circle jerk. The fact that you mentionned the U.S.S.R. and communism but not a word about the horrors commited by Franco's or Mussolini's fascists or Hitler's nazis tells me all I need to know about you.

Guess you're right, "the hippies of the 60s and 70s" should've just invented a time machine and killed Hitler.

I could be that USSR and communism were relevant to the time the hippies were active.
The fascists and nazis were from a time before they were born.

Franco's fascists remained in power until the mid 70s.

Russia's communism started even before WWII, when Goodall was just a child.

I did that, except his name was Frank in the last go-around. Hitler is what replaced him, and I learned my lesson so we're stuck with him. Trust me, it's better this way. Frank was a real asshole.
