SeaMonkey version 2.53.2 has been released.

The SeaMonkey project is a community effort to develop the SeaMonkey Internet Application Suite. Such a software suite was previously made popular by Netscape and Mozilla, and the SeaMonkey project continues to develop and deliver high-quality updates to this concept. Containing an Internet browser, email & newsgroup client with an included web feed reader, HTML editor, IRC chat and web development tools, SeaMonkey is sure to appeal to advanced users, web developers and corporate users.

I don't know what that first post is talking about regarding the article being from 2010. Probably a troll.

The link in the summary goes to the main Seamonky site with the links to the various versions of Seamokey including the 2.53.2 release the article is about.

Seamonkey is a great project that has been my main browser and email client for longer than I can remember, I think I started with version 2.something and it is always one of the first things I install on any system I use ever since I found it.

I highly recommend at least trying it.

Please give us a report once you try this new version. From the release notes (and going back a couple of versions), it sounds like they are no longer following Mozilla/FireFox, and striking out on their own.

What works, what doesn't? Can you get to your bank (or other troublesome sites) using Seamonkey?

And honestly, I kind of see their point. I haven't tried Seamonkey in at least a decade, and even then I was curious mostly because it seemed like such an outdated idea.

    Yet here we are.

And yet, neither you nor the previous trolls/ACs could be bothered to say why that is.

      Personally I haven't tried IE since 2002.

There is no moderate didn't get the joke. Perhaps they can add a "Whooosh" to the list.
