Anti-virus face masks plague Hong Kong's beaches:
Surgical masks are washing up in growing quantities on the shores of Hong Kong, a city that has overwhelmingly embraced face coverings to fight the coronavirus.
Conservationists say the masks are adding to already alarmingly high levels of plastic waste in the waters around the finance hub.
"The single use plastic mask is just another additional burden that we are leaving behind for the future generations on the beach," Gary Stokes, co-founder of OceansAsia, told AFP.

Very few people around here are wearing facemasks, but they're already a part of the usual litter - along with drink cans and cups, food wrappers, etc.
Seems like with all the newly unemployed, instead of paying people to sit on their asses and watch Netflix, we might pay a few to "socially distantly" pick up the trash that leaks out of the normal waste streams onto the roadsides, etc.
Normally I don't like this kind of regulation, but with video evidence I'd be in favor of strong enforcement of littering fines as well - maybe even a little light police brutality if the suspect (shown littering on video) attempts to resist citation.
