You know the drill, right? The FBI keeps insisting that it has a "going dark" problem due to encryption making it impossible to access key evidence of supposedly criminal behavior, in theory allowing crime to happen without recourse. The problem, though, is that nearly every single bit of this claim is false. It's kind of stunning.

  • It appears that, in practice, the FBI almost never runs into encryption.
  • In the rare cases where it has (and we don't know how many because since the FBI admitted it over exaggerated how many "locked" devices it had, and then has since refused to provide an updated count), there do appear to be ways to get into those devices anyway.
  • But the key issue, by far, is that the opposite of going dark is happening. Thanks to our increasingly electronic lives, the government actually has way more access to information than ever before.

Two recent articles highlight this in practice, with regards to the FBI trying to track down the rare cases of criminal activity happening around some of the protests.

    The fbi was using okcupic to go on dates with me as early as 2011, and I suspect some of the bullshit on myspace I experienced was them too.

    This stuff is so far beyond out of control, there is a secret law to criminize everyone now.

    It is about predictability and always has been about predictability, and who might be a future leader, and cults as well.

    Also, a certain book of protocols will tell you that laws are twisted to go after anyone a certain subculture disapproves of while letting others get away with epsteining and 911.

    Not like any of you have the attention span to understand how bad the situation is or not like the traitor/patriot ratio is not way out of whack in the "key positions":

    But if you are not paying attention to this stuff, you might as well be staring at a blank wall to get your information.

    I was just at notabug.io and within 2 minutes of me posting their chat lit up with talk of the nz shooting, same happened at voat.

    There is no space for civil discussion here, there are so many suppressed facts that any rational dialogue immediately brings automated shills and actual military grade disinformation douchebags to twist your discussion into something more violent.

    If there were not already a ton of meaningless violent acts, the fbi would spend a few mil to make it that way by psych trolling unemployed people like they have done to me.

    And laugh your ass off as at leat one movie demonsrates what they do, set people up, and even if that person does the right thing and reports their provacateur to the police, they just double down and leverage the economic pressure on desperate people to shut them down, and this all serves the purpose of undermining the actual population of the nation for foreign powers.
