Today Analog Devices has announced that it will be acquiring Maxim Integrated in a transaction estimated at $21bn. The combined company value is said to end up being valued at $68bn, creating a significant player in the analog IC market.

Both companies are very familiar to me.
There are still multiple companies who make fine analog microcircuits. They may be similar, but vary on what was the tradeoff for what.
You might be surprised how many opamps I choose from, yet each has its reasons why I chose That one.
