With morgues brimming, Texas and Arizona turn to refrigerator trucks:
Officials in Texas and Arizona have requested refrigerated trucks to hold the dead as hospitals and morgues become overwhelmed by victims of the raging COVID-19 pandemic.
"In the hospital, there are only so many places to put bodies," Ken Davis, chief medical officer of Christus Santa Rosa Health System in the San Antonio area, said in a briefing this week. "We're out of space, and our funeral homes are out of space, and we need those beds. So, when someone dies, we need to quickly turn that bed over.
"It's a hard thing to talk about," Davis added. "People's loved ones are dying."

First, it's not resurging, it never left the US. You just reached another threshold where some part of your infrastructure gets overburdened.
Second, not every western country failed to address it. Take a look at Europe, even the countries that were hit early and worst like Italy or Spain are over the hump. The virus is on the way out in all countries that had to deal with it for longer than 3-4 months. With one exception.
Third, you will stay in the group of Brazil and India until you finally wake up and smell the Java. 'til then, Americans will die.

That it is being politicised (by both parties) is maybe the biggest problem and obstacle in fighting it, because instead of doing what's required both parties try to use it to gain political power, and if they have to crawl across corpses to get it, so be it.
That's not to absolve the US voter, because he rewards this behaviour. If you needed any more proof that the system is completely borked, well, there's no helping you. The dying will continue until those left finally realize that the problem needs addressing and not using it for petty politics.

You talk as if Brazil and India are supposed to work.
As an Indian I take offence to the being put in the same bucket as Brazil and India.
